My South Sydney supporting brother-in-law met Buzz at a function recently and somehow it came up in conversation how professional The Roosters are and what a wonderful organisation they are. Pissed my brother-in-law right off. He said Buzz was full of praise for us.

So do alot of other people. Like every year it comes down to injuries but if the Chooks stay healthy they're a massive chance. If the Chooks lose Keary, Tedesco or JWH long term then things are different.

You never know but the Roosters would have to give up a current top 13 player. I dont know if Melbourne would swap Smith for Verrills but they may be interested in Crighton possibly Sitilli to replace Kaufusi. In saying that I dont think Smith will be at the Roosters before 2023.

I still remember the excitement I felt at the beginning of the 1988 season when we just bought Gary Bridge and coming off a strong season in 1987..

All the tipsters in the papers were tipping us to come first which made me think it was a guarantee to happen,only to end up coming 12th and having a miserable season..

I usually can pick the following years winner and premiers....can't pick it next year.. yet...We will be good for sure..hopefully the injury voodoo is gone...this is the year Sam Walker will have be smarter and more patient alas..Cronk style...as an newbie and unknown quantity..he hard a marvel bag of tricks...so good teams were copying his plays and moves specifically Mr Chin Cleary.

Uncle Nick's intelligence to break bread with Rothwit by "sponsoring" his 2018 trip to France and England to cover our WCC assault was a masterstroke and money well spent. Since then Rothwit hardly talks ill about us and is full of praise for Nick and all.
He and Hoops often refer to us as the benchmark.
