  • Any guns in the lower grades?

I enjoy seeing young talent come up from the lower grades. Any guns that any of you know of that will be killing it some day?

Also, how do you guys that do keep an eye on the lower grades do so? Do you go to the games? Or is there some way to actually watch the games.

Tyler Moriarty, Thomas Deakin , Sandon Smith , Nicholas Fenton. Joshua Wong, Cooper Toy to name a few - Tyler Moriarty , Thomas Deakin and Joshua Wong for instance were selected in the 31 player emerging blues squad.

Moriarty was player of the Laurie Daley cup comp which the Central Coast Roosters won and was promoted to SG Ball when that comp finished

Smith and Fenton were promoted to Jersey Flegg when the SG Ball comp finished and didn't look out of place - Sandon Smith was the Chooks Junior rep player of the year (2021).

Moriarty and Wong will play SG Ball again in 2022

Smith, Fenton and Deakin will play Jersey Flegg in 2022

Toy will play Harold Matthews again in 2022

I watched a lot of the junior rep games ( Laurie Daley and Andrew Johns cup games/ Harold Matthews/ SG Ball/ Tarsha Gale/Jersey Flegg ) and seniors -NSW Women's Premiership and NSW Cup which were live streamed via the NSWRL Facebook page.- Not all games are live streamed but a fair selection are

Hope they will live stream again in 2022.

Jordan Swann a try scoring centre that jumped from SG Ball to Jersey Flegg and still starred.

          .

Yes i knew I missed another one out - a few of the SG Ball players had a real impact when promoted to Jersey Flegg when the SG Ball comp finished - Jordan Swann as you say and Sandon Smith a goal kicking half, 5/8 and Nicholas Fenton a prop from QLD(Wavell State High School)- another one of those Bronco academy players the Chooks signed.

Not sure signing Bronco academy players will continue as i assume the Dolphins will offer these players a choice of an NRL Pathway including staying in QLD/Brisbane- Titans as well somewhat

We have a few goodies coming through.. The blueprint that clubs are starting to adapt to ( Focus on junior development pathways ) is becoming more and more paramount so very pleasing to hear we are following suit and building our own elite high performance centre.

The Va’a brothers have just touched down and started training with the boys, very exciting to see! We also have Leapai Jr who is another boxer and a huge prospect.. young kid who looks like a enforcer for years to come. Tuku, Whyte, Egan, Wong, Montgomery all great young talents.

Vuate, Swann, Kiko Manu, B Smith ( Still young and hasn’t even touched the surface with how he can play ), JS , Robert Toia ( watch out for this kid..)

At least we have another Steakin Deacon ...JT will be rapped .
Where's Rodwells boy in this mix heard he is one of our top Jr signings .
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

All of them have the potential to make it but if you pushed me to say which may make a bigger mark I would say Tyler Moriarty closely followed by Sandon Smith ( exceptional goal kicker as well) if i was to pick 2 players only

Cooper Toy is a super quick winger/centre and was player of the match in the Under 16's City vs Country game this year and will have another season in Harold Matthews- so be interesting to see his development.

Especially if Watson is playing as well - mmm Watson will have to change sides and back Holmes's arch enemy Moriarty
