Let's play all the old foes and leave the North Queenslands of this world to shlep around Australia playing Super League.
I understand why the conference talk gets thrown about but to me it'll take the game right back to 1997, it's the NATIONAL Rugby League now for a reason not the ARL or the NSWRL
In saying the the draw how it currently is atm is shambles and will only get worse after the Dolphins and an 18th team arrive.

If they keep adding teams it would get to the stage where teams will play each other only once
The Interest will still be maintained in a 2 conference comp as your team will play the teams in the other conference as well as keeping tabs on who your team may play in the cross over finals series - also the major selling point is that what ever conference teams are in they will play the same teams the same number of times- none of this easy/hard draw nonsense
I can't wait till they add an 18th team myself - 2 Conferences is the go - play teams in your conference twice and teams in the other conference once - either top 5 and 2 conference winners play off super bowl style or more likely a 10 team cross over finals series top 4 from each conference and the 2 winners of the cross over conference wild card games - 5 vs 6
They had a top 10 in 1998 so they can follow the same format even in a cross over finals series -see 10 team final series in the link below

2 Conferences- Naming Rights sponsors for each Conference with Telstra the overall main sponsors
Sydney Conference- Roosters
- Souths
- Penrith
- Wests Tigers
- Parra
- Manly
- Sharks
- Dogs
- Dragons
Non Sydney Conference- need a name for this conference- Broncos
- Dolphins
- Cowboys
- Titans
- Knights
- Raiders
- Storm
- New Zealand Warriors
- 2nd New Zealand Team

Keary is the key to the Roosters winning the comp next year, he has to be in the side most weeks & definitely for the finals.
IMO every other Rooster player can be replaced except Keary & we are still a chance of winning the comp. Teddy is nearly in the same boat but Manu could fill in admirably.

Call me whatever, but I wouldn't want anybody associated with the CCP getting such access to our club or having any sort of influence over it (even if it's merely perceived influence).

In another interview post a training session in Wyong yesterday Keary mentioned that Suaalii isn't a certainty to earn a starting spot to begin the season as he is still recovering from that foot injury and won't even start full speed running till after xmas.

It will be interesting if he goes back to left side where we had premiership success or defends right edge.
Momorovski is a very good defensive centre and works well with his half or 5/8.
The right side excites me if we can keep the two Joey's fit and healthy, both of them are great athletes with exceptional ball skills and great footwork and a genuine threat in the air chasing kicks.
We'll be up at the pointy end of the ladder if we can keep fit.
