Alot of Rugby League players have got the size of the fight in the dog.
some are for real, i remember a fracas in a panthers game when fish wandered over , not hostile , but serious ....everyone dispersed quickly

I can picture a black and white photo of Teddy with a twisted mo, holding up a massive belt on the wall of a pizza shop somewhere.

Damn I wish Michael Isgro still had his pizza shop in Woolloomooloo. We had a little terrace on Cathedral st back in the day and enjoyed many fine lunches/dinners there (back when Yurong Pkwy felt like some NY ghetto and some hard nuts trained at the local PCYC).

IMO Teddy would be in there for the long game. Lotsa big boppers would just throw lotsa haymakers, get tired and fall asleep.

A best of 5 sets of Handball and your on- mmm the squares are smaller these days than my days at School though- We would play first to 10 points each set- Competitions would be like the Tennis - winners advance- draw names from a hat for first and other rounds opponents until there were only 2 players left who would play the Grand final - no seeding of players though

          Gal v Darcy Lussick 3 x 2 minute rounds, what a farce.
I like Gal but in all seriousness 3 x 2 minutes rounds is just a mockery of Boxing, I wont be watching it.

Gal can do 3 minute rounds. It seems like just a grab for cash at this stage.

Both him AND Lussick have literally said that is exactly why it's still moving forward in numerous interviews

In my opinion Lussick is a weak opponent for Gallen. I would rather see him take a more interesting fight.

What's with *all* these footy players wanting to climb into the ring and get their heads punched in and get concussions? possibly die, or become a *vegetable*.
                  I don't get it!
Don't they get their heads knocked around enough in the NRL.
Do they think it makes them look tough or something?
If they do, it's not working on me, because I think it's a crazy thing to be doing.

Of course you get it. They do it for the cash.

You get knocked out in boxing you cant fight or spar for 2+ months. If it happens in your next bout you can't fight for 6 months. Their protocols are infinitely more strict than the NRL.for head knocks

Most of the footy vs footy player fights I've seen they are in more danger of serious knocks on the paddock.

                        (Odd exception).

Hopefully the bruising and bloodying 89 punches to the head, and the other 300 punches he was basically beaten to a pulp by...will cure him of any further boxing ideas.

Darcy Lussick knocked out Justin Hodges in his first fight in round 1

Jeff Fenech wasn't impressed with the referees especially in the Freddy Lussick vs May fight - Lussick copped a pounding in reading the following

It's a mugs game though - a lot end up flat broke at the end of their career and not in great shape health wise to say the least.

his initial opponent was josh aloiai wasn’t it? But he pulled out, not sure if he would of been any better of a fighter though.

I don’t think Gallen has backed away from anybody, he has done pretty well overall, and he doesn’t pretend he isn’t in it for the money either.
