More amazing news. What a club!

    JOSEPH MANU EXTENDS WITH ROOSTERS

The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce that Kiwi international Joseph Manu has signed for a further two years, keeping him at the Club until at least the end of 2024.

A product of the Sydney Roosters Pathway Program, Manu spoke about the pride he feels to represent the Roosters.

“The Roosters is home to me and I couldn’t see myself playing for another club. From the top down, I love this Club,” said Manu.

“Trent and the coaches and staff we have here help make me a better player and person every day. It’s a privilege to wear the Roosters jersey and I’m excited for what the future holds,” he added.

Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson was delighted that Manu would continue to play his important role at the Club.

“Joseph has been with Club since he was a schoolboy and I’ve loved watching him develop into the hardworking player and game-changer we all enjoy watching today,” said Robinson.

“Joey has an incredible work ethic and is confident in the player and man that he is, and it’s great news that his leadership will continue to benefit the Roosters in the coming years,” he added.

Manu has played 114 NRL games since making his NRL debut with the Club in 2016 and was a member of the Roosters’ 2018 and 2019 Premiership-winning sides.

Together with NRL teammates Victor Radley, Nat Butcher, Sitili Tupouniua, Ben Marschke and Ben Thomas, Manu was a member of the Roosters’ 2016 National Youth Competition Title-winning side. He was also a member of the Roosters’ 2014 SG Ball title-winning side alongside Paul Momirovski and Connor Watson.

In the representative arena, the proud product of New Zealand’s Tokoroa has represented the Maori All Stars (2021) and played five Tests for the Kiwis.

Fantastic news , he's an integral part of the club and not just for the class he brings on the field. I think he plays a huge role in the recruitment and development of the young Polynesians at the roosters.
