As for the swearing, I don’t use those words myself, but seriously it’s all over popular TV shows and all. And what about those Matt Johns podcasts? I don’t watch them, but occasionally when we’ve just left the channel on Fox League in the background while I’m waiting to watch something else with the husband, I swear I’ve heard the F bomb dropped.
As for Ray Hadley, what a hypocrite. He’s had a few swear laden rants in his time - actual abusive rants.

I know the podcast is available to everybody but who would be their target audience? I'd suggest that would be under 30's and the few under 30's I've spoken to thought it was a good laugh.
We've had troublemakers in the past and pretty quickly they've either changed their attitudes or changed their clubs.

I thought this was a very good objective article.

We pay young sports people huge amounts of money, give them plenty of free time and expect them to be wise beyond their years. I think that is a little unfair.

If a Roosters player in the same circumstance carried on like he has, you'd have wiped your hands of him.Last edited by Batemans Bay Rooster; 12-01-2021, 03:40 PM.

Yes he said he wants to win a premiership in our jumper and that is because he chose us as his next team. He didn't put shit on the Storm club or any of the players, coaches or management. Actually praised them all and told a few funny stories. I bet the players would not give a FF with what he said. He will put 100% into the Storm this year and Bellamey knows that.
The bloke is a larrikin and a F funny C. Even if he wasn't signing with us I found the entire interview very entertaining and saw more of the bloke he is. The interviewer is a good mate of his and he started the swearing so Cheese just spoke to him like a mate. It's not like it was a 2GB or Channel 9 interview. He was very raw and it would be good to hear more players speak as openly.
To put him in the same basket as the players you mention in so far fetched. People need to lighten up.

He came across to me as someone who is willing to learn and I'm sure he will learn a little from this interview. The fact he reads and listens to podcasts/youtube so much to educate himself and actually understands the opportunities that lay in front of him at the roosters tells me he has a growth trajectory and mindset. The things he respected about Trent such as his love of cultures etc also tells me a lot.
The guy will probably get some advice and I'm sure he will take it in....

Smith is certainly naive, and he speaks like he is discussing why he signed with the Roosters with a lifelong friend or a relative. I think it will have repercussions at the Storm amongst existing players, but nothing that can't be solved with a meeting between Smith and the group.
I think Munster said publicly he wants to play for a Queensland club, which probably didn't go down well either.
I have always hated Bellamy, I think he is a cheat and a liar, so maybe cracks are showing in the culture he has created in Melbourne.
They have had plenty of off field incidents, and drug related incidents, which have become public knowledge, makes you wonder how many they have been able to keep out of the spotlight.

My only comments are:
- We're not 'Murrica... using the c word is pretty common when describing a friend or somebody you respect. I quite like seeing real stories rather than sterilised BS. Context is all too... ai mean Ray Hadley uses all sorts of manipulative/racist language and he's claiming to be a source of moral authority. Get farked Rabies! Heck, some dude called Tony Abbot a carnt and the court ruled that it was okay to do so as it forms part of Aussie slang.
- He was (politely) asked to leave because 15 minute wonderboy's apparently about to get 10 consecutive Dally M's on reputation alone. He's not reneging or doing secret deals behind their back. They asked him to look around!
- CONTEXT, CONTEXT... CONTEXT!!! He had nothing but glowing words to share about EVERYBODY at the Drizz, including Wonderboy. I doubt anybody's mad at him.
