He needs to stop that "run at 100 miles an hours and crash into the defence" he does.
If a prop isn't there to run as straight and hard as he can into the opposition defence, then what is he there for?

Baker, Butcher and the other young guns will all be ready to win games and the comp in 2023?
Maybe.
Cashed up in 2023? on SST's contract money?
Don't think so.
We could get another couples of years out of him that way.

Robbo pretty much said that was all BS.

Doing that, something usually gets broken.
Taking the ball up, making as many metres as possible, not getting pushed backwards, not losing the ball, and maybe safely offloading it....are what's required.
Its the funniest thing I have ever read on the Chookpen.
Tell Collins to stop running hard at the opposition, that will do me.

If used carefully, JWH could push through for another 3 years. Part of me thinks its likely, just purely due to his competitiveness...he doesn't know how to quit. Prop however, if really fkn hard on the body and he does have a permanent sternum injury.
Petro Civinoceva made it to age 36 playing first grade prop, although not that many props get that far while still playing at an optimum level.
Here's hoping.Last edited by Steakface; 10-15-2021, 11:23 PM.

When Robo said that comment it was unprompted and in context of another discussion. Nobody directly asked him and it was like he really wanted to make a point that it was rubbish! He didn’t have to say anything if their was truth to what you say! And I’m not diminishing your “inside” knowledge, but on this one it sounds off the mark.

Look, the club wouldn't stand in a players way if better playing/family opportunities were on offer. As much as they would like to have SST stick around as a senior leader it would be more a situation of thanks for your services.
