  • Robbo - Fitzy "possibly the greatest ever Rooster"

    Robbo
"He's possibly the greatest ever Rooster."
"What's somebody else done, more than Craig Fitzgibbon, as far as being a Rooster?"

    Can't argue.

    Can argue.

Love him but nobody will be speaking his name in 100 years. They will still speak of Dally M, Dave Brown and Artie.

I disagree with that. They certainly will be.

I’m certainly never going to shit on Fitzy so I’ll just respectfully disagree but he’s in the upper echelon that’s for sure

His playing contribution AND his coaching contribution. Was what Robbo spoke about. He wasn't suggesting Fitz was the single greatest ever Roosters player. FFS. Overall contribution.

Back in 1999, I knew someone who was on the Roosters board. Before the GF that year, I asked him if we'd signed anybody good for 2000.

He said "I can't tell you yet but yes and he's playing in the Grand Final." It was Fitzy and what a great signing he turned out to be.

Nick Politis is the greatest Rooster ever.

Fitzy is in the top bracket

Well you're the one who didn't explain that in the original post

I was actually working at east leagues club doing renovations, when he walked into the club, I knew exactly why he was there

Robbo did say that Artie will always be regarded as the greatest ever rooster.

The greatest ever Rooster for me has to play his whole career at the Chooks.
Mini, Ricko, Jake, Cords those kind of blokes.

Ronald Clifford Jones is the greatest Roosters as without him there would be no ESDRLFC or associated team to support.

Sucks that JWH can’t qualify then.
