  • Sutton, Klein and Cummins

I don't believe in NRL conspiracies, corruption or they're trying to 'get' us.

But I do believe in 'unconcious bias'. I think this term was penned in The Pen. They are after all humans, footy fans and they read the press. Like most fans they probably hate the Roosters and they know we have no sympathy from the public or media so they'll ref us with impunity.

They've been doing this for the last 20 years but our D has held them out and we've won 4 premierships.

However the 6 agains are something else.

The way Sutton so early gave Manly 6 agains on the 4th tackle etc until they scored a try was so blatant.

Then he gives us the even ups on our first tackle when we're inside our 20 and Manly were ahead by 18. It was so blatant, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Probably both.

Across this year, I've seen countless times when the opposition were given 6 gains when they were attacking our line - very often on tackle 3 or beyond.

The thing is these 6 agains always escape scrutiny. The commentators say nothing about it, and at the end of the game, all that's counted is the total amount given. So I'm guessing last nights was probably even or we may have even won it. Mutton escapes total scrutiny!! He and the other 2 tossers have got this into an artform so that the match stats show we were given an equal share of penalties and 6 agains.

This rule is totally faarked up and it's given these 3 diickheads all the ammunition to give our opposition a massive leg up.

It's not an NRL conspiracy against us, but this shiit rule has to go.

We would not have won anyway but the ref's made sure in the first 20 Manly got off to a flyer

How many players from the Chooks top 17 have been out this year due to injury, retirement or suspension?
Look at the teams who have a fully fit squad they are all playing next week.
Its not the refs mate, its not having your best 17 fit & firing.
I really cant believe why you want to bring the refs into it after a loss & not winning the comp when its obvious why the Roosters loss & were never gonna win the comp.

Totally agree it should go . Manly were good enough to win last night without a saloon car ride of six agains and a penalty to reach 18 nil . We tried our guts out to get back into it ,and were courageous , but the damage was done by that point. Payback from Robbos presser ? The old unwritten policy of putting away the whistle for finals was not applied last night . **** the Refs !

The try DCE scored from the scrum. Why can’t we do that. Where are the sweeping back lines moves I watch from previous years games in highlights?

We all probably never notice when our team gets the 6 again early in the tackle count but as soon as the opposition gets 1 we scream about it.
I'm not a fan of the 6 again but it's here to stay and we have to adapt to it.

We were never in the game after about 60 seconds, way too many mistakes, dropped balls, missed tackles. Even the refs challenge right before halftime was a stupid challenge, yeah we got the call but it was a risk on the bell that shouldn't have been taken.
We have just been making the numbers up for months, we have had the worst year without our best players unable to play for various reasons.
The teams still fighting it out have basically their best players available, had we not suffered the player loss we had we would be playing next week with a real chance of winning the big one.
Nothing to do with the refs, in fact we got lucky last week with the 1 pointer, that should of been a penalty against us. Every team has calls go to and against them.

Because DCE is a premier half with the best kicking game in the NRL, we had neither of those things last night

The blatant leg pull on Keighran by Harper on the 5th tackle and nothing from Sutton.... I was foaming at the mouth.

We were down by 18 and just couldn't get even the most basic call from Sutton. This after Manly went penalty, 6 again, 6 again, penalty to be gifted their first try.

When we didn't get a 6 again for that - so freaking blatant and obvious a 6 again - and Manly scored the next set, I just wanted the season to end. It was ****ing enraging and I'd had enough.

I need at least 6 months away from the refs and NRL administration to rekindle my passion for the game.

I have said it before, NRL must be the only sport in the world where people look to see who the match official is ahead of time, we know their names, their history of calls, their reputation - they are given far too much of a pedestal, and then there's all these little worms in their ear, from the stands ? from the bunker, from the sideline, then they all get to hide behind the politician spin on Mondays.

As for the 6 again, it needs to go. Its turning into touch footy, the path that they're on.

Can't argue with that Mickie. Injuries cruelled us and we played as best we could this season, but last night's game was probably our worst display this year.

But that's not the point of my post.

The 6 agains have lead to blowouts, injuries for all teams but for us it's given these 3 stooges the perfect weapon against us.

I've never complained against the refs in the past. It's only been the back end of last year and this year when the 6-agains have started.

And I've realised why the commentators don't comment on it (for all teams) - it's because it's a bloody lottery! It's like scrum penalties in RU - who the hell knows what it's for??

WORST RULE EVER. DAMN IT TO HADES.

It's a travesty that Atkins isn't getting a gig this weekend and in the top two refs, Klein getting a gig is equal opportunity gone mad.

They’re not there because the majority of players that executed those plays are injured, it’s not hard to figure out why lasts nights team struggled

They might be some of the people who say: "You can't beat the referee".

All the teacher's pet teams seem to love the new rugba leeg rules...including this one.
Could be because they seem to benefit greatly from them.

The teacher's pet teams seem so loved by officialdom that when they throw forward passes the game managers on the field seem to think a strong wind was blowing and the passes just floated forward.

Ever have a teacher's pet in your class at school, or at home...who could never do anything wrong in the eyes of those running the place?

In 2018 and 2019 all refs were Roosters supporters.
