  • Thank you ICE!

A disappointing end to the season but also the end of the road at the Roosters for Isaac Liu, a genuine club legend. In the squad for the 2013 premiership, in the side for the lows of 2016, and also there when we lifted the 18 and 19 titles. Always wore his heart on his sleeve and never let any of the fans down. To be able to play 200 NRL games is an incredible achievement, but to do it in arguably the greatest side of the modern era is a testament to the player Liu has been for us. He has been rewarded with a 3 year deal at the Titans, but I think we should all thank him for his contribution to the club.

    Thank you ICE!

I love this guy. I honestly put him in what I consider a modern roosters legend, not flashy but highly underrated and Robbo has him in the starting lineup for a long time in a great forward pack which says a lot about him.

never heard of any off field drama, absolute champion

Also some of these guys like Liu, Tupou, not sure who else that was a regular in 2013 but I think one or two were also part of the Newtown premiership win of 2012. Most people probably don’t care but I went to a lot of Henson park games in those years and especially in the semi final where they touched up Canterbury who were minor premiers. It was a fun time to see guys like Liu and Tupou make it from reserve to nrl premiership winners in 12 months

Had one of his better games tonight I thought. Broke through tackles at the end when other forwards had stopped putting in. A great servant

Boy we are losing a fair chunk of roosters experience and history this off season aren’t we? Thank you to ICEMAN for all the memories and service over the years… Also a huge thanks to Fitzy! A big part of our club and will be missed… will be interesting to see who gets the nod to replace him.

I believe we've already replaced him. Jason Ryles??

Is the Ice man a new thing? I haven’t heard it but it suits him. Quietly got about his work but so reliable and tough. Titans get a real good one.

A part of the woodwork for nearly 10 years now. Not usually heavily noticed like our other stars, but will be missed. Hope he kills it at the Titans (not against us of course!)

I echo all the sentiments in this thread about Isaac. It's going to be strange seeing him another jersey.

Seeing Isaac chase saab at the end of the game summed up the effort he has put in over a decade while wearing the Roosters jersey.

doesn't seem right that he's leaving but we've been very lucky to have him. did credit to the jersey

                              He's been a Robbo special.
Very much like Daniel Tupou the quiet achiever. Never gets the MOTM but never played a game below a 7 out of 10.
Thanks Isaac & good luck up on the Gold Coast.
