I'm not expecting a win but I think like all year we will fight to the last minute, whoever is on the bench have to be given more minutes especially either side of halftime to give our starters a rest so they have more impact in the last 20 minutes.

They're entitled to favoritism but no way are they $1.31 chances. I do fear we must hit a wall at some point. And beating the Gold Coast by a point is hardly a great form line, but then again Manly are a level below the top 3 imo. We need an 80 minute performance, and we can win.

If Parra could beat the Storm twice BY LUCK, and Souffs by Bennett getting into I Clearys head, then we can beat Manly. It’s up to Robbo now!

          Last week I grabbed:
          - A 6-pack of bloke in a bar lagers (NSW version... cheap as they were leftovers from Origin. Why have I been drinking hipster beers for so long? Lager just works!)
          - Chilli and lime corn chips.
          - Beef jerky from our local butcher.
          - Wasabi Harvest Snaps.
          - Maybe a little bag of chocolates if I'm lucky.
Glad to see you have all the food groups represented Ism....I usually have those itty bitty children's size packs of chips in the pantry but we need the big guns for this Friday night. Saturday night I'll be eating on behalf of the family members living overseas. I can enjoy that game without the stress..

Oh before I forget, you asked me about places to go in Toowoomba. My cousins used to own the Spotted Cow pub and they sold it last year after Covid to a big hotel group who renovated it. I don't eat steak anymore but one of the best I had was from there. It's the same pub Andrew Johns had gone to prior to falling asleep at the airport..

The food and wine is excellent up there and also at Stanthorpe/Ballandean which are 2 towns across where the wineries are. Just go through my home town of Warwick past the 15 pubs (no joke) and keep going...

Keep calm, eat carbs and follow Easts..

I dont expect us to win but anything can happen on the day.
Tom goes down & off after 10 minutes & Parker gets 10 in the bin in the last 10 of the first half.

            Combined side. Position for position.

Teddy/Turbo, Toups, JMoz (just ahead of Parker), Keighran, Garrick, Foran, DCE, JWH, Verrills if suspended (Croker), Taupau, Crighton, Tupouniua/Schuster, Radley

            J Trbojevic, D Walker, N Butcher, E Butcher.

They have a better spine but over all the both sides are pretty even.

Something I thought of that the Chooks may need to be wary of. Given the recent hullaballoo over 'the wall' for the field goal attempt, it is a possibility that should a similar situation eventuate this weekend that someone like DCE will deliberately run into one of 'the wall' and fall over and cry for a penalty. Slater tried the same tactic in the 2018 GF by running into Rads and falling over to no avail but I could see it turning out differently.

Sounds like it’s going to come down to a cripple fight on the edges..

How have Manly all of a sudden become a great side. They look good against weak teams and have failed against the top 2 teams.
                  No different to the Roosters
We can beat Manly and I believe we will.

Not sure why people hold the beagles in such high regard against us?

We flogged them earlier this year. We finished on equal points with them after the regular season with them just getting us on points diff. We won our first finals match, they lost.

Pressure and expectation is all on them and not us.

                    We will win.

My biggest worry besides Mrs Hraleys credit cards is that Jared and Rads will be super pumped and with a dipshit ref may see us cop penalties or worse. I reckon young Walker will just be cool as cause he doesn't get phased. Teddy will show why he's the Number 1 Number 1 and Ika will have me drowning Sambuccas and coke. Would have been nice if Manu was in this.

Whatever, it's all or nothing and hope somebody at Rooster HQ has casually mentioned to the boys about the importance of possession. Roosters by 5.

Of course I want us to win; but if our season comes to an end on Friday we'll at least be spared a loss to the Vermin who based on their performance vs Penrith look nailed on for a GF appearance.

We had a team of first graders, not rookie fill ins (who have done an amazing job) then. They were missing Tommy T. His impact on their team is the same as Fittler on us in the late 90s/early 2000s.

                            G Sutton is the ref.
                            Best of luck to us.

Last time we had him, it was after the Robbo $40k spray at the refs & bunker. We won the penalties, the ruck infringement resets and the game. I hope that Sutton is still under order to take it easy!

Just looking at the stats over the weekend, the Storm completed at 90%, the Rabbits 84%, the Eels 89%, and the Roosters? 67%!

                                Good lordy help us!

For whatever reason some of our players just can't catch a football to save their lives. And I'm not talking errors in attack. I'm referring to basic dropsies, I.e. the Isaac Liu basic fumble.

If we are to beat Manly we simply must clean this up.

Also of the Titans 4 trys, all 4 were from significant errors. Iku didnt need to be so aggressive on the grubber right on HT, there was the comical dropsy from the bomb with two players colliding, the even more comical tackle attempt on Brian Kelly, and the Laurel & Hardy performance from Lam & Iku for their final try. That's 18 points totally given away, 24 if you want to be harsh on Iku misreading the grubber.

So that's a 67% completion rate plus some shocking errors to hand over points. And yet we still won with half a footy side missing.

I don't know how we do it; but if we can tidy up the ball control and be more clinical in defence then there's no reason we can't win.
