    I just love my Roosters fullbacks and we have been completely spoiled through the decades.

    No surprises my all time favourite rooster is Gary Wurth.

    But also big fan of Mike Eden, David Seidenkamp, Luke Phillips, Rod Silva, Mini, RTS, Flash Gordon and Tedesco. Roosters have been so lucky to always have an amazing fullback.

    My second favourite Rooster is Jeff Orford.

    Honourable mentions to Ron Gibbs, Chicka Ferguson, Ricky Walford, Brett Papworth, Mark Protheroe, Sammy Perrett, Hugh McGahan, Big Salvo, Ron Giteau.

    I feel privileged to watch some amazing footballers finish their careers at the Roosters and also play some of their best footy at the same time eg SBW, Morris Brothers, Luke O’Donnell, Brett Mullins.

    Of the current era I just can’t go past Jared. He has been the best prop in the game for over a decade but just doesn’t get the accolades he deserves (just wins premierships instead!).

    Players I wished played for Roosters but never did - all time favourite is JT, but also Cliff Lyons, Brett Kenny, Steve Renouf, Gary Belcher and Noa Nandruku.

          [*]Braith Anasta (perhaps controversial for some. I saw him as someone who was not a very talented player, but did make the most of what he had never doubted his passion for club, even in very dark times for us. Always a very good bloke off field. Great memories of his deeds in 2010.)

          I used to love Braith too…..that was until I joined the Chookpen.

          * Dally M Captain of the year in 2010
          * the best kick offs I have ever seen
          * Awesome penalty kicks for touch
          * Great at field goals
          * Spoke intelligently

          Then the Chookpenners alerted me to his stats:

          * Runs for 10 metres in 80 minutes
          * 2 tackles in 80 minutes

          Once I saw Braith’s stats I couldn’t unsee it.

          The Emperor had no clothes.

            As a child my first favourite was Kerry Boustead, until he went to Manly.
            Then Horrie Hastings, Hughie McGahan, and Craig Salvatori.
            Then came Brendan Hall and one of my all time faves in Ricko.
            Mini was next along with Mitch Aubo.
            Of the current team it would have to be Toops and Luke Keary.

            I also loved RTS and was devastated when he left.

              Funny you bring him up.

              Brandy was easily my favourite non-Rooster growing up.

              The bloke had everything. I'd argue, together with Sterling, among the most intelligent to have played the game at the highest level.

              Well before Lockyer came on the scene, Brandy was a gun in either the halves or at fullback.

              If it wasn't for the tragic death of his brother and numerous injuries, Brandy would have been held in the same regard as Johns. I have no doubt.

              He was also a key mentor to one B.Fittler too!

                True Aubbo story - at Glenn’s “Raise Up A Rooster” night I was talking to him and mentioned that he was my son’s favourite player. He was surprised it wasn’t one of the flashier guys and was quite chuffed. We spoke for about 10 minutes, he asked if I had a business card and moved on.

                About a week later a package arrived at my house. It was from Aubbo - a signed jersey and cap for my son. I was a complete nobody and he did that. Legend.
                Great story BPP. When I was living down in Melbourne for 12 months, I went along to the meet and greet the night before the Storm game. SKD and Aubbo sat with me for over half an hour talking about all manner of things..he had to show me how to use my new camera too... I sent those pics to Horrie Hastings the other day as I've set up an album now in Apple Photos and I have one devoted to all things Roosters. I had a Royce Ayliffe bubblegum card too.

                I forgot to add SKD to my list..shame on me..he's at the top of my list. The fact that he wore his Roosters tie at the grand final parade says it all. He will always be diamonds to me.

                      Freddy is #1. As a young kid in the 90s there were times when I wondered if it was in fact possible for Easts to actually win a comp, considering the likes of the Drongos and Faiders teams of that era. I started to believe that it could happen only when Freddy came across.

                      Its hard to describe what it meant to me as a 14yo in 2002 seeing a Roosters captain lift the Trophy on GF day. My favourite footy memory of all time.

                      Top 5 would be
                      2. Mini
                      3. Toops
                      4. Teddy
                      5. Maubs
