    TOP
    • Freddy Fittler
    • Teddy
    • Mini
    • JWH
    • RTS

They are my top 5, if you put a gun to my head. Freddy just edges out the other 4. Still think it was a tragedy we lost RTS, a really sad moment when he left.

    HONORABLE MENTIONS

I've also got a number of players, some who flew under the radar a bit, who I was a massive fan of and are right up there for me:
    • Sam Moa
    • Jake Friend
    • Boyd Cordner
    • Andrew Walker
    • Mitch Aubo
    • Fitzy
    • SBW
    • Braith Anasta (perhaps controversial for some. I saw him as someone who was not a very talented player, but did make the most of what he had never doubted his passion for club, even in very dark times for us. Always a very good bloke off field. Great memories of his deeds in 2010.)
    • Darren Junee
    • Craig Salvatori
    • Jimmy Maloney

    MOST DISLIKED
    • Fingers Fergo (was never comfortable with him in our team. Criminal, one dimensional, and certainly not the smartest tool)
    • Fatrell (Upsetting to say, as he used to be one of my favourites. I dont know whats happened to him. Bad influences have turned him into an awful person. Sad.)
    • Jackson Hastings (Basically Fatrell, but without the talent. Got a start with us on his last name alone)
    • Nate Myles (never seemed to really give a shit - pun intended. Didn't feel he was passionate about the club at all. Was bog average too, unless it was an Origin game)
    • Wilie Mason (toxic influence on the playing group, A huge mistake for the club. The leftover stench hung around all the way up until we got Robbo to rectify the culture. Overrated player too - became a pillow in later years given his size)
    • Fatty Vautin (came for the retirement paycheck. Was well past it. Doesnt appear to even reference his time at the club in the years since. The whiny 'go maanly' schtick always makes my skin crawl)

My favourite players are not always ones expected. Freddy was never one. SBW wasn't. Horry wasn't. The ones off the top of my head are:

      Noel Cleal
      Terry Regan
      Bruce Sinclair
      Terry Hermansson
      Jason Tassell
      Joe Lydon
      Andrew Walker
      Todd Carney (incredible in 2010)

      MORLEY - all time.

If I had to name one of the Robbo era and also this season I think it has to be JWH.

      Who is your favourite player?
      Morley

      JWH

      Craig Salvaorti

Can't have Lardtrell in there. It's roosters players.

He was also one of my favourites at Easts. Now he is my most-hated player of all time.

But I do like the introduction of the bitter along with the sweet.

Whilst he’s not my number 1 favourite player, I have to give Fitzy a rap, loved watching him play. Tough as nails, played 80 in the forwards and was a very good kicker.

I gave it some deep thought and I realized my favourite player at the moment is Toups. I like all of our players but I really admire Toops for his loyalty, his skill and effort and his humility.

The Legendary Spiro Strattos - Rooster # 705 closely followed by one of The Wall favourite's "Slammin" Sam Obst -Rooster # 1004.

Still remember Obst dumping Ryles on his head in a heavy tackle ( Rooster vs Dragon Game in 2001 that Rooster won 16-12) - Ryles got up a bit groggy and played the ball the wrong way - facing Dragon players instead of Rooster players - even hailed that game - Calls of " leave our ball boy alone" from the crowd every time a Dragon forward tried to ruff him up

Sam Moa what a ****ing shout

Legend and a gentlemen to boot, I adored him aye. His hit ups had so much venom, the kick off return in the 2013 GF is my favourite of all time. One of 3-4 Roosters worthy of a Clive Churchill Medal that night. Beautiful short passing game and could put on a cracker of a hit. In some ways the ying to JWH’s yang.

The success of the past 10 years or so has made it very easy to look back at most of our players kindly. So many of the them have won a comp with us a lot have won multiple.

Probably depends on the era you started following the team, therefore

                          Hugh mcgahan
                          salvo

                          freddy
                          mini
                          morely

                          JWH
                          teddy
                          radley

special mention to our cameo boys of SBW and Cronk,
they became roosters very quickly, and delivered on the hype and pressure that came with it, they may not have come here for a long time, but they feel like they should be remembered with some of our greatest by the way they still respect and serve the club after they have left.
