Baker was immense against the Raiders last time we played them,.hasn't shown that impact again.

I like them both, Baker looks more straight up and down and goes hard but Tapuha has a bit of X factor about him with his size and footwork.
He looked a chance to offload in most of his runs and Teddy will be licking his lips sniffing around the ruck behind him. I can't wait to see him when we get our full complement of players back and he has another off season to harden him up.

If we are relying on rookie forwards to provide attack for us in the semis we may as well raise the white flag today.

Their job, if they get picked is to run straight and hard and to make their tackles. Rugby league, such a simple game.

No, his job is to play the way that has got him into first grade to begin with. So far it looks like he's been doing that.

That's hardly raising the white flag.

I'm excited with this batch of young forwards we have coming through....Butcher, Tapuha, Whyte and Baker. Future is bright.

I don't want to be a Debby downer but I don't think we should read too much into that performance in terms of what it should mean for finals performances. The Raiders were really, really bad.

Reminded me of our Round 1 game against Manly.
              Debby downer.

Canberra being really bad doesn't mean our guys weren't really good. As I said in Gameday, Hutch Keighran and Tapuha took another step up last night and deserve praise.

I was thinking the same thing. Tapuha is a massive unit! Plus we just signed the young brothers from Qld. Lets not forget Collins either.

Tapuha all day. His only dropped ball came from a rake from Wighton which wasn't picked up by the refs. Baker gets smashed too often for my liking and Tapuha is a big body and relatively unknown, so he has x factor for finals footy and it also appears Baker is playing injured or has been injured v souths

Naufahu Whyte is a solid player and will be a weapon in years to come !

I heard it will touch and go with his recovery. It was an approx 3-6 weeks turn around for his "moderate grade syndesmosis" injury (so yeah my predicted bench has got Nat sitting out based on his injury)

                            Agreed.

Just because other teams play shit or go hiding doesn't mean we should take any credit away from the lads ... with JWH missing and Manu out ... as stated, Hutch, Keighran and Tapuha really did step up to support the senior players and contribute towards the team's win last night !

Tapuha’s offloading ability was on show, the concern with him at the moment is not picking the right moment to offload and it leads to a lost ball. That will come with time. I’d give Baker the first crack next week though, he’s been very solid.
