In the game on now, Garrick scored in the corner and an eels player made a glancing blow to his face. No penalty. I predicted that Braith wouldn’t be able to resist bringing up the Flegler hit from last night. And he’s supposed to be an ex Roosters captain who knew what it was like getting nothing from the refs.

It was a high shot , Gordy, on Touponuia .
Guess what that means in the rule book?
Penalty.
End of story.
Next year when the Roosters have their full strength side again, you won't need to worry about the ref's calls.
Because we will flog your Broncos 60 points to nil , like we did in the past, and the ref decisions won't matter.

I gave the game away during the ridiculous "crackdown."
Sometimes on the news I see a few highlights.
The penalty we got to win the Broncos game just reinforced my belief that it's all over. How utterly embarrassing. Yes, it went our way, but why get emotionally involved in a game where at any second a ludicrous sinbinning or penalty could ruin your team's chances?

On that call... I think he made a self-assessment (like Teddy) to complain and then move on once the ref had made their call. I respect this because as a commentator, he's not there to bring the game into disrepute by suggesting it's corrupt...etc. It's easier to defend your position that 'that was a penalty by the letter of the law but really shouldn't be' than it is to have a sook and be like 'that was corrupt and we always cop it hard from the refs'.
I much prefer Braith over some of the other talking heads out there.

Not only was it a high shot, it's the reason Sitili lost the ball!! Tallis & the other Triple M crew were watching the slow motion video carrying on it like was nothing. Try watching it in full speed and without your red, white & blue hatred glasses! THEN he insults our great club by disparagingly calling them 'The Masters!' .....so unprofessional!
Why don't all these muppets calling games just call the games and leave the commentary on ref decisions when something that's actually controversial happens! I suppose they were happy that the professional foul on Teddy in the first half wasn't a sin bin!Last edited by ccfc bondi; 08-15-2021, 08:27 AM.
