  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Panthers

Let’s see how resilient Penrith are when they have a few players out. Mr. Disloyal Ivan will have a bus full of excuses after we teach them a lesson in resilience tonight.

We need to build on last weeks performance. Penrith will no doubt throw more at us than those pretenders did last week. Complete better and attack with our defence.

We really do owe them one.

    Let’s get ready to Rumble….

    GO ROOSTERS!

heart says roosters, head still says panthers . not sure why, they have a few outs to.

close game, roosters score first , panfas win by 2, or wait is that the other way round? one of them 2 options.

    hopefully the latter result.

seems like we've done some hard yards this season but the worm's turning.
looking to see more understanding between toops and keighran - i reckon they'll go alright. hope copley has a steady start - mate, we're not looking to you to win us games, just play solid.
can't wait to see jwh get stuck into it.
we've got the team to win it.

I am...I'm looking at his picture and saying..."You better STEP UP PAL or it's cleaning Matt Ikuvalus bed pan for you......!"

And Thirteen I was looking forward to this game (Thanks) But nothing...Bloody COVID!

On a good note, Penrith have only beat us in the past 3 games at the Riff park in front of their crowds. They have been lucky in the way the draw was set for them to win but now that they are having to travel, you can see the seams are coming undone faster than Mickie Lane Y fronts, so I hear.

Just stop the drop balls and silly penalties and we win it. That's our biggest opponent!

Absolutely right. A high completion rate, no dumb freebies up the field for the riff, and we have enough heart to win this one

Im confident the Chooks can win this game. Penrith have 5 top players out, I know the Chooks have more out but the Chooks have played pretty much the season with players out but his is new to Penrith.
                  Go the MIGHTY CHOOKS.

Will be very impressed if we win this game, sadly I think we're carrying too many weak links and we'll present Penrith with too many opportunities.

I am pumped for the game though, will be great to see whether Manu can start to establish himself as a big game player, how Walker will go in a big game and which of the junior forwards will step up.

Been understrength but a resilliant side .
We need to vary the dummy half offloads, darts ,chain passing up the middle..wear and tear their forwards out and then attack the inside fringes..to do it we have to be smart with the ball and dominate possession . Believe it or not Hutch is the key ..he needs a switched on kicking game and some deft passing.
                        All the best boys.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Looking forward to this one. Robbo has us hitting a better rhythm now where we can challenge the better teams.

Loved the work of Keighran and Egan Butch last week, looking for more improvement again.

My only concern is the ref G Sutton, he can make life difficult for us. Grant Atkins the pick of the whistle blowers now, let's the game flow more and players decide the outcome. If he keeps going should ref the last game of the year.

                          Go Easts!

Could come down to goal kicking.
