Our Players Vaccinated?

I thought all the players should already be vaccinated while playing in the bubble situation, I’m not sure why it wasn’t a condition of entry into the bubble to keep the competition safe.

It should be, it's hilarious that some people don't trust the vaccine but trust the virus. Risk of dying from the vaccine about 1 in a million, risk of dying from the virus, about 1 in 200.

Maths has never been my strong point but if 99% of infected people experience mild symptoms....mmmkay. Death is not usually mild.

Where do you get your stats. We have over 200 people a day getting COVID in Sydney apparently but I don’t think there has been a death every day. And younger people I believe are at far less risk of dying. I am getting the vaccine but I don’t believe the 1 in a million and 1 in 200 numbers are totally accurate.

If a 27 year old with no apparent existing medical condition that has been confirmed passes away as a result of complications from contracting COVID it should be a wake up call for those hesitating about getting the 2 VAX's

There is an autopsy to be done. The family has a history of heart problems apparently.

People are dying almost every day now...including young people.
Victims are also suffering lasting disabilities.
Are all our players fully vaccinated?
If not, is our Club's bubble including family members "airtight"...no killer Covid can get in?
Fully vaccinated people can still get Covid-19, and some will likely die...a doctor told Raaay on the radio today.
An Origin player from another club is saying he will not be getting vaccinated.
If he's allowed to play against our team our players will be at great risk of dying or disability.

The only post I saw was Buddy posting on Tuesday Cords telling people to get vaccinated and that he would be getting his when it was his turn. He never said he had been been vaccinated That is not too say he hasnt since that post. Either way whether he was for or against. Cordner or most footy players would be some of the last people on earth I would listen to regarding any medical issue.

For all the people who are against the vaccine, can they hurry up and catch this ‘flu’ so we can all get on with life again?

NRL should have the same thing starting in 2022.

Deaths usually run about 2 to 3 weeks into the infection, so if you look at the positive test numbers from 2 to 3 weeks ago then Coqa is pretty close to the mark......

If the NRL is going to allow unvaccinated players to take the field then the NRL is going to have to have a permanent *airtight* bubble, as are the clubs.
Hundreds of new cases of Covid every day in NSW now...so many "active in the community while infected" that the govt has abandoned the goal of getting to zero cases.
Reportedly, contact tracers are having great difficulty when trying to contact people in some areas..."language barrier".
The list of exposure sites is so long now that it nearly takes *hours* to read it.
This is what our players and their families will be returning to...hope someone has a foolproof plan to keep them all safe.

US President Joe Biden has 29 million excess doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines that are due to expire at the end of August sitting in warehouses and is refusing to give them to us.
Enough Pfizer and Moderna to vaccinate our players and families, and basically every child and young person in Australia.

The Biden Administration is just going to let these vaccines expire and then throw them out in the trash.

we've asked them to give us some and they haven't said yes yet. the doses won't be thrown out in the trash but there are a few issues to resolve before we can get our hands on them. some americans are worried about the delta strain and think they should hang on to the doses in case there's a bigger uptake of the vaccine amongst people who haven't had it yet and others question the justice of sending extra doses to a rich country which can make its own vaccines when poorer countries have nothing but some americans think we should be prioritised cos we're an ally. hopefully we can get a few.

There are valuable lessons to learn from this whole pandemic debacle...if we're smart enough.
Hopefully "she'll be right, mate" doesn't return as soon as things get back to something like normal.
We need to set up govt factories, or govt subsidised factories to make our own everything...masks, PPE gear, bigger and better hospitals, vaccines.
EU refused to send us our first batch of Pfizer early this year.
Biden won't send us any of his nearly expired vaccines.
We need to fend for ourselves, obviously.
Everything we need we have to start making ourselves...everything from ferries to vaccines, submarines to solar panels.
