A guy I knew in High School did his shoulder like Cleary and he wasn't right for six months. No way Cleary is 100%. Fair game that he tackles every 100 kilo forward the Roosters have in their side.

Time we stopped being Cleary's bunny...go get him.
Also time we stopped being Kikau's bunny.
All eyes will be on Panthers’ star back-rower Viliame Kikau once November 1 rolls around.
Kikau is off-contract at the end of next season, meaning he’s free to negotiate with rivals if Penrith don’t lock him up on a new deal before then.
The 26-year-old is understood to be earning just under $700,000 at the foot of the mountains but could demand a big pay rise elsewhere.
The Panthers will no doubt fight to keep the Fijian international but may struggle to fit him under their cap, having re-signed the likes of Jarome Luai, James Fisher-Harris and Stephen Crichton on upgraded deals, on top of Nathan Cleary’s $1 million salary.
Given he’s one of the best second-rowers in the competition, there’ll be no shortage of NRL clubs lining up for him, but in a twist, Channel Nine’s Danny Weidler has revealed a shock link to a rugby union move.
“I think he’s going to be one of the big contract stories going forward,” Weidler told Sky Sports Radio’s Big Sports Breakfast.
“He’s a devastating player and I think he’s on around $700,000 with Penrith next year. But I think that it’s going to require more than that to keep him there because he’s the sort of player that, I can see a club that’s desperate to make a mark, throwing money at because he’s one of those devastating gamechangers when he’s on.
“He could command money, you’d think $800,000-plus and whether Penrith can keep him in their cap — because they’ve got a lot of good players — it’s going to be very interesting to see.
“Obviously he’d stay at Penrith for less, but what might be a threat is rugby union, particularly French rugby or one of those powerhouses over there because he’s got the same manager as Semi Radradra and we saw that he’s now paid gazillions in Europe and just won a gold medal playing rugby.
“There’s a link there that could see him get a lot of money thrown at him from overseas so it’s going to be fascinating to watch how Penrith manage it.”
Should we get him bondi.boy?

I want the Pamfers to be able to beat the Drizz so don't wanna go destroying his shoulder for the finals.
However, if they can't beat us then go figure. Maybe we're the surprise team with a bit of a chance against the Drizz? There's obviously one result I'm hoping for this Saturday and it doesn't involve the Pamfers beating us.

Don't understand the Panthers rushing Cleary back as the Storm have top position wrapped up with superior for and against with game in hand. The Panthers will be playing Souths in the 2 v 3 game and with no crowds there won't be any home ground advantage.
I would be keeping him in cotton wool until the last 2 or 3 games before the finals but what would I know I'm not on the bus.

- When a kid walks in saying 'how long will the recovery take, sir?' They will say 'we recommend 6 months for full recovery... you're still growing and the risk of sustaining a worse injury by rushing it back is stupid... yeah, I recommend you sit out of all contact sports for 6 months and gradually work your way back into it through bespoke exercises with your physio. Yeah... I know it's a pain and you'll feel right in a couple of months but you'll thank me when you hit your 40's and your shoulder's still good'.
- Cleary walks in saying 'we are #1 on the ladder, I earn $1m a year playing professional sport... doctor... fix me so I can play again ASAP!!!' Doc would say 'look I strongly recommend you take 6 months off but since you're gonna ignore that... your movement and stability should be back in about 2 months, so you'll technically be able to play by then... I don't recommend it and I can almost guarantee you'll have a fark load of pain/complications as a result... you're on your own... okay you understand all that? Sign this waiver and we'll get started...'
IMO nobody's superhuman. It's all about how much risk you're willing to engage with. I mean 4 weeks out instead of 6 months so that you can play for Cranbrook's 15D's, who are ranked last on the ladder? No thanks. 4 Weeks instead of 6 months coz it's gonna give you a shot at an NRL premiership, which is gonna hinge on your availability as a marquee halfback? Go figure.Last edited by ism22; 08-05-2021, 02:33 PM.
