The Bulldogs would not let him. He is restricted from playing for another NRL clubs until 2013 per his release from the Bulldogs.

That is true, but don't the Bulldogs want the first round of 2013 played against SBW at ANZ as a huge drawcard money earner to start their season.
Perhaps the Roosters could agree to that request if SBW is released from that restriction and allowed to play at the backend of 2012 ?

thats a good call is we do a deal with dizzy and the dogs for round 1 2013.

michael searle was quoted as saying he would pay for a early season stouch against the roosters if $bw was with us. he will be a draw card.
