Sonny about to sign, Quade Cooper in the mix

Sonny Bill might be worth the gamble but Quade Cooper what a joke. If theses rumours are true, sounds like the club is going back to the bad old days, signing players for the headline value rather than on field value. The club is currently building a dynasty and doing it in text book style, through its junior development. One bad signing can undo all of this hardwork and sacrifice, I reckon stick to the current script and drop the Hollywood script.

There's some sense in that ay!
Clubs like the Dragons, Storm and Knights get a LOT of people taking a cut because they think they're gonna win with that club.
EXACTLY what we need... rightly or wrongly, we need people thinking "I don't care what I'm paid, I want to be at Bondi because that's where I'll win a premiership!!!" A premiership is worth more than $$$ and it makes you a) look better b) worth more $$$ when you leave.
---
I think coaching and structure attract people more than anything but ay... young guns want to be amongst people who are gonna help them get ahead.
You get 10 years in the NRL if you're lucky and injury free. During that time you're on anywhere between 60k and 700k. Say an average player gets around 200k... sounds like a lot, but it isn't if in your post-NRL career you'll be struggling to make 75k a year. Sure it can set you up with a house...etc, but if you think that playing with a club for an extra 2-3 years will double or triple your value then 200k or 250k becomes irrelevant because you'll make that money back as a star, and also possibly launch yourself as a celebrity with a decent post-NRL career.
I want us to be known as the club where young guns can come if they wanna learn the game and jump start their careers...
