Why are we hoping for a top 4 finish? Obviously a win tonight is a must, but considering the type of season we’ve had, I’d be pleased with a 5th position and getting to play 8th, and after winning week 1 e get to play the loser ( either souffs or parra) whom we should beat and that gets us to the PF. A much better scenario than running into Storm/Penrith in week 1.

It is a rotten system designed for revenue, not competition. Fifty percent of the teams get into the finals. Bring back the minor premiership as the ultimate trophy. Design a competition where every team plays all other teams twice, once at home and once away. That is a fair system, not this contrived system that we have.
