      Totally agree,

the best option available to Smith, he had an improved trial last weekend as centre & with BJ wing this is our most experienced pairing to cover injuries....I do like Tagive & Tupou etc but Smith has done the right thing

A big shout out to "Mickey Lane" who anticipated this....well done mate!

we will struggle to score points with that backline in first grade, wouldn't rule out Tagive starting and maybe even Moga if he comes good.

I think Smithy has a few tricks up his sleeve before Monday night. Hopefully Moga and Tagive get a start. Very interesting to see Martin Kennedy named. I have a feeling he is not yet fit and will drop out.

                Interchange:
                14. Tinirau Arona

                18. Anthony Mitchell
                19. Peni Tagive

If that is the team that runs out, it will be the slowest back 6 in the competition. Tagive crapped all over Carney in every facet during the trials and has been training the house down. So we'll have two small wingers who are crap under the high ball, and two backrowers playing in the centres along with worlds slowest 5/8. Not exactly inspiring stuff.

Smith is taking the pressure of Moga by not naming him, he will come in for Carney

Forward pack looks pretty good, FPN better put in a lot better than he did last year (no more bludging on the wing or going 15 minutes into a game without touching the ball) or he can go to Newtown and give someone with some heart a go.

Great to see Arona in the team, he is a very skillful player. Hopefully Bosden can force his way into the pack at some stage as he is another with a lot of talent.

If FPN has struggled for motivation in the past he should have plenty this year. There is simply too much competition for spots. If he goes on a coconut vacation during games he will quickly be replaced by the likes of Bosden, et al.

Bosden and Taka very unlucky but a couple were always going to miss out. Although Bosden missing from the Newtown team could mean he is a late replacement.

I would have prefered Mitchell to Mortimer as a dummy half bench player.

Great to see Marty named. They must be pretty condifent he is over his foot problem.

I think Tagive will play. His trial form should earn him a spot.
