  • Now Sin-Binning for Repeated Set-Restarts

Fittler and Sterling started the discussion on tv. Our game against the Cowboys was mentioned.
"Teams 'taking the pi.." was said.
    Charming language for commentators, not.

The accusations...teams are deliberately committing infringements to slow down the play and nullify the attacking team.
The little lady who sits in the recliner told me that she read somewhere that the Roosters will be replying to these accusations.

Here we go, another way for the refs to remove our players from the field.

I think there should be no 6 agains when a team is coming out of their 20. It should be a straight penalty. Teams are using this too much

You just watch us have a player/players in the bin for this, but not players from the teacher's pet teams.
All the refs will have to do is give 3 set restarts against us then bin a player, costing us the game...no foul play in sight.
Refs can find a set restart in anything, it's not always obvious to everyone watching.
As it is now some teams get penalised for everything, and other teams get away with things they should be penalised for.
Some teams are allowed to hold our players down 'forever'.

Is there any other sport in the world that change rules so fast and easy as nrl does? Just makes us look so amateur... over 100 years and still don’t know what the rules are.

That's great they are due for another crack down .
let the ref's decide who wins again with a few sin bins a game.

Yep it's stupid. I mean if they think repeated infringements are particularly bad then they have the option of calling a penalty from right in front of the sticks. That's the rule... not a sin-bin.

Why make so many bespoke rules during the season?!? Baaah we adapt! However, the inconsistency is that the Drizz NEVER have to adapt. Every tactic they use (no matter how frigging dodgy... we're talking head kicks, dangerous tackles, 5-man strips, wrestling to slow-down the ruck intentionally) is 'smart', and never falls within broader nets such as 'dangerous contact', 'hand on the ball', 'ruck infringement'...etc. It's bollocks!

Sterlo was waaaayyyyy too vocal about this. I didn't see him getting heated when Dylan Brown kneed Hutch to almost end his career. And Freddy wasn't that great either by saying 'they're taking the piss.' Shouldn't there be some outrage at him or both as well like at Flanno Snr?

As for giving away restarts on our try line...we've bee getting offside even before the advent of the restarts. We always got penalised for doing that BUT we are not the only team that has done that...every team does it.

And as for one of the examples they used, I'm not too sure that was offside cause in the sample they used about Angus being offside, the dummy half baulks at picking up the ball from the tackle player and when he does pick it up, Angus and the rest are already off the line.

I think you may be right BB. I think there's a very strong chance we'll have a player in the bin this weekend. It's funny how this 'tactic' was the main tactic used by QLD to nullify the dangerous Blues outside backs and barely a word said about it. Other than comments about the referee not letting the game flow, no comments about the QLDers taking the piss or deliberately giving away penalties. Of course it's a different story when it's the Roosters for just one or two sets though.

The last crackdown had Radley missing 5 weeks for something that’s become a mere penalty 2 weeks later .

pretty high penalty for either a ruck infringement or off side. Its a penalty not 10 in the bin. So lets try it out on the Roosters ayyyyyyyy. ffs

This has been going on since this 6 again shite started. Amazingly it is now an issue after we cop it and defend it then go up field score and go in and run away with the game. The whining cnuts can all go and get fcuked.

Translation - a Roosters player will be sin binned this week and then two weeks later the crackdown will be over
