I just won a competition with Triple M to run out for the Roosters on Monday night! I think it is the first thing I have ever won in my life! I am pretty excited now and just can't wait for Monday night.

This was on the SMH 'Late Mail':

"Fetuli Talanoa and Neccrom Areaiiti are expected to drop off the bench for South Sydney on Monday night. Tautau Moga may make a shock appearance for Sydney Roosters but is almost certain to wait to make his NRL debut."

That comment on Moga is awesome journalism. He might play, but he might not......thanks.

I can't believe that Souffs are willing to risk Inglis in round 1.

Gives you a fair indication as to the weight of importance that they place on this match.

I expect them to come out fired up.

Maybe they have been foxing about the severity of the injury?

Pressure mounts on Souths quicker than just about all other clubs. If they don't get early wins, fans, sponsors and media immediately write them off with another year of chest beating but no results. As soon as the pressure mounts, it gets harder to build momentum into the season. They usually struggle until everyone totally writes them off in about round 16 - then, with no pressure on, they string together some wins.

I think Souths will do everything they can to win some early games and avoid this pressure. Even if they do this though, it will only last until semis get close. Then the pressure of expectation will build again and they will crumble under it like they always do

The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                      Here's looking at you, kid.

Have that one saved, for the right moment, for a particularly mouthy vermin fan.

A lot of hyperbole in the highlighted statement. They have not lost any sponsors and have the highest revenue from sponsors in the NRL as well the highest membership and much higher attendances than we do. Other things you say may have some truth but not that.

Pretty sure they did the same with Burgess last year and he aggravated his shoulder injury as a result.....was pretty funny cause Sonic had been going on before the game saying he expected Carney to play and it would be a sign of the Roosters desperation to win if he did. I copied his post after the game end edited carney's name out and put Burgess' name in....Sonic failed to see the humour!
