  • Forward fkn passes

How frustrating are they? Who is in charge of the dummy half coaching because we have had this damn issue of blatantly passing it forward for years now whether it was friend doing it or now Sammy verrilis. So frustrating as it kills our momentum and is a cheap turnover.

Lack of cohesion for a while now. Consistently being called up for forward passes. Happens every game.

sammy v had a tough welcome back to nrl over the last fortnight but he'll come good. plus every dummy half throws a few 50-50 balls and the couple last night aren't always picked up

Not good. Let’s hope there’s no more this season.

Frustrating indeed. No excuses for throwing them forward.

Love Sammy V. Hope he doesn"t make this a lazy habit

It's also the fault of the guys timing their run , but the dummy half does need to hold the pass if it's going to go forward.
Jake used to throw a few and they have turned games against us.
            Drives me nuts.

The cheese might help in this area?

He is sadly too small to be playing in the middle. Our line was bent several times. Both he and Walker need to spend 6 months in Canberra …

Sammy V was severely limping after Meaney’s try last night so maybe that’s a reason for his below par performance last night..

As we all know at his best he is a great asset to our team so I won’t be writing him off just yet..

True! Uncle Nick is understanding up to a limit… if Sam V doesn’t get his players not to go past the advantage line which ends up being offside, Nick will get on the phone to Trent. Sam V needs to take charge here.

He did fine in 2019, this is a team that’s lacking confidence and cohesion at the moment. You could say similar things about Radley’s ball playing last night but you just know it’s a period of time we need to work through as a group rather than a reflection of individuals who already have a proven record.

After the first 15 mins or so our ball control was horrible. Forwards over running the ball, who said you have to play at breakneck speed, especially on a wet track.
2nd half we still attacked ordinarily but a least we controlled possession and made the dogs fight for any field position.

I agree…With that said, that is a problem that needs to be remedied ASAP just so we have any chance, if there’s still one.

Ive got no problem with the occasional forward pass & thats what they are occasional. If you counted how many times a dummy half passes the ball from the ruck & how many went forward I would think it would be 99% to 1 %. Yes I know the 1% makes a difference but humans make mistakes.
