Oh my word yes. We were leading the comp after 5 games and then Salvo got sent off at Penrith and we ended up missing the semis by finishing 6th.

Salvo was suspended and i think Garry Freeman missed about 3 or 4 games not long after that also being on tour with the NZ test side. Also Rod Silva got his jaw broken by Les Davidson against Cronulla in round 8.

What is the criteria for life membership as a player and non player?.

I thought it was 10 years as a player to be eligible unless dispensation is given - meaning Maubs and JWH are able to be awarded this and Toops next year unless they count his 2 games in 2012 as a season .

Do the 10 years need to be in 1st grade/NRL or any grade at the Chooks including pathway teams?

I think one game he took the ball off a kick of on his line busted through them ran about 70m then gave it to Brendon Hall under the posts ..he was quite quick and Mobile in todays game he would be killing it.

That was against Norths at the SFS. Jeff Orford had a blinder on debut that day.

One of my favourite games of all time. Big wins felt special back in those dark days.

The first round in 1991 at the SFS we played Souths and Salvo was sent off fairly early in the match but Souths could only beat us 16-10.
