DANIEL TUPOU & LINDSAY COLLINS EXTEND WITH ROOSTERS

The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce that one-club players Daniel Tupou and Lindsay Collins have signed extensions with the Club.

Tupou has penned a two-year extension until the end of 2023, while Collins has extended for three years, taking him through to the end of 2026.

Tupou is the longest-serving member of the Roosters backline, having made his NRL debut with the Club in 2012. He is a three-time NRL Premiership winner to date (2013, 2018, 2019), and is currently third on the list of all-time try scorers for the Club with 110 tries in 189 appearances.

“I could never imagine myself playing for another Club. This is home and I cherish every opportunity I get to represent the Roosters,” said Tupou.

Collins, who is continuing his recovery from an ACL injury, made his NRL debut with the Club in 2017 and has played 49 top grade games so far. Making his Queensland debut in 2020, Collins played a key role in the Maroons’ 2020 State of Origin series win.

“I love being part of the team we have here. We’re a tight group and we push each other to be better every day,” said Collins.

“The Roosters have taken really good care of me since day one, especially this year with my injury, and to know that I will continue to represent this Club that means so much to me over the next few years is something I’m really proud of,” he added.


It always warms the heart to hear our players talk about the club in such glowing terms. I'm not buying in to all the doom and gloom that's been bandied around here lately ... I'm excited for our future. Our best 17 is still good enough to compete with anybody. I'm looking forward to 2022, with Keary & Walker together, and Rads fit and firing all season, we will again be right up there in the mix for another premiership.

Great news. Lindsay Collins to 2026 is massive. He and Radley are the only ones I can think of who have been signed up for 5 years at any point in time under Robinson's tenure.

So happy Toops will stay and play out his career here, would've killed me to see him in another jersey.

Toops will never get the recognition he deserves outside of our club. We all love him though and obviously so does Trent & Nick. Will become our greatest try scorer.
Lindsay has simply turned into a beast, glad we have wrapped him up early. With QLD getting pumped no one has mentioned that he isn't there, he was their best forward last year
