I was a Vlandys sympathiser initially, weren't we all? He got the game going again - I still remember how grateful I felt to watch a game on TV after the initial lockdown.
I don't know the fellow, but I now fully resent his unilateral and far reaching intrusions into a game I have been invested in for 50 years. The prick could have at least asked for advice from rugby league experts, not just lawyers.

they will still be missing players that broke the COVID bubble and watching the Manly game currently their replacements are definitely reserve grade standard

However, in this case, the collateral damage is too great a price to pay.

Welcome to the touch footy competition that V'landys built.
So close and exciting!
30% more tackles in a game than 2019 and it apparently has nothing do with rule changes.

I watched the game with my diehard Manly supporting brother, he loved the result obviously but we both thought the Penrith vs Parramatta game was the best so far this weekend.
As much as I love winning by 50 a game where we win by 1 or 2 points in an arm wrestle is far more rewarding and exciting.

I think the rules are being used as a bit of a cop out, the dragons/warriors game and penrith/parra games were great.
it’s the quality of the teams that is really being shown up, and to be honest, every year that I can remember recently has only had a handful of teams that can genuinely compete for the premiership.
the 66-0 blowout games this year, would probably have been 30-40 plus blowouts anyway a couple years ago.
I know for me, if the roosters were winning by over 40 points every game with a healthy team, I wouldn’t be complaining about the rules at all.
I don’t like the new rules, but it won’t change, so if I want to keep enjoying league, I have to accept them and hope the chooks can compete next year.

Broncos game, Storm game...as but 2 examples.
We need to play the biggest players we can in every position.
We need to stop opposition teams scoring 30,40 and 50 points against us "every" game.
We need to turn up and bash teams in defence (legally of course)...this "perfect gentlemen" idea is getting us nowhere.

It's 'nothing' like rugby league.
Making rugby league more entertaining was one thing, but rugba leeg is ridiculous. Ridiculous, like its draw and rules.
