How many players have eclipsed the opening roung by placing personal interests ahead of the team? How many captains? He did the same thing 2 years ago.
Here are my reasons for this selfishness.
1: He has always been a media player and this is the way he does buisness. What better time to negotiate than at the start of the season when management are trying to set a collegial tone. ie better shut up the anasta talk.
2: His PGA dreams are in tatters

4: Jodi can't find work in this town anymore after Stokes junior blacklisted her for her foray into the world of coked up bikie gangbanging.
5: He is simply trying to deflect the probability that by rd 6 Smith will move him to the scrum and use Mortimer.
