Why do they allow both teams to use the black strip? You'd think the Bears would have used their Red option...and whilst I'm writing this Abbey scores a try from his try line, or there abouts.

24-16 down in the end. Couple of 2nd half defence lapses costly for Bears. Salmon for them did damage. Positive was Billys return and Porter looked ok but a bit rusty, better for the run. Great Volkman chase and run down attacker brilliant, and Bergamins try 2nd half a beauty were highlights.

I know your dury is still out on Billy Smith but would you give him a chance next week over Melbourne replacing Ikavalu?
I would love to see Smith playing in the centres, hes a big strong bloke who I know does get injured a bit but if he can stay fit I think he's got the goods.
I would bring Smith into the centres & move Suaalii to the wing for Ikavalu, I like & rate Ikavalu but I would drop him for next week. Manu & hopefully Walker in the halves.

Not sure but we should lock him into our 30 for next few years. Could be the next flying Fijian superstar winger, has only had 4 or 5 games in Flegg and run in 9 tries.
