This has become a huge stain on the game and introduces more chances for manipulating end of season results due to different interpretations of the rules. So they can ban rooster players for many weeks but differently interpret rules so as to let off teams they want in the top 4. Marschke was a grade 1 but Proctors was a definite grade 2 and sin bin. Any news on proctor?

2 parts

1. If the kicker is allowed to chase his own kick he runs past all his "downtown" offside forwards then he puts them all onside. Taking the kicker out guarantees they have to let the ball carrier run 10 metres before they can make contact.

2. Kick pressure obviously influences the quality of the kick, you can't just allow kickers the time to perfect their ball drop and plan where they're going, you need to keep them rushed.

for the sake of argument if we accept that there was 'dangerous' contact to the head, surely ben's contact was at the lowest range. was careless rather than deliberate and he clipped him with the end of his elbow with minimal force
