In the sense that we are relentless in our pursuit of buying a premiership. Linking us to every single off contract player regardless of whether we have a need for that player and despite us having an abundance of young back-rowers already on the books and SBW supposedly to come as well. It is the perceptions this sort of writing creates in minds of non-rooster fans. Ie the big spending, powerful glamour club.

I thought we were trying to get away from the throwing money at every player under the sun mentality and develop players through the junior ranks? I'm not saying Lussick isn't a good player with potential but so are Tasi, Cordner, Taka, Guearra, JWH, Evans, etc. And if we've also got SBW why the hell would we be looking at Lussick?

I used to call it Coq Envy.

I recall many opposing fans on the forums copped the old Coq Envy call when the old celery crap, bought not inbred, book of foods etcetcetc cliches were thrown out there. Many bannings followed, naturally.

Maybe...but I find it annoying that every off-contracted player gets linked to the us even when it's plainly obvious we don't really need another back-rower! Unless of course the guy is a prop?? Always thought he was a back-rower though.

We're in a position to spend money at the moment though with amount of big contracts we have offloaded and an increase in the cap
