      Life at the Roosters.

Mindbendingly disgraceful treatment of a club that has given so much to the community of league for over 100 years.

They are willing to bend the entire comp over backwards to stop us.

What happened in 2014 was hectic but this is on another level.

If I get the opportunity, I'm going to see if I can gather the collective penalty/restart count for Roosters games where scummins is the ref. What was it last night - 3 to 11?

I've given up getting bothered about penalty counts. Flipper Hands and I did a spreadsheet in 2016 or 2017 before I got sick and stopped posting on here for a few years detailing all the stats from the previous years. Nothing's changed since then..apart from us winning a couple more premierships... Just gave a close friend a book called Strive: Embracing the Gift of Struggle..all about how anything good that comes in life usually comes at some sort of cost to get there in the first place. The author gave us free copies as he was a guest motivational speaker at the bank I work for. He interviewed a few NRL players too.

I know it is still happening in our games But I have become conditioned to it and only really react during a game if Ive had a drink. Seeing as though I do not drink that often these days it is few and far between. Yesterday was Cummins at his best when it comes to him refereeing us.
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

It's quite disturbing to think that "You're off your head Ref!" game with Braith was 14 years ago and he's still at it..Cummins, not Braith....someone even made T-shirts after that game..

Interesting as i watched a game a few weeks back from 1996 - Chooks vs Broncos'- Classic Monday Night Footy game - the Chooks won the penalties 8 to 0 - Yes the Chooks were the perfect team according to the Ref and to the amazement of the commentators.

Of more concern to me was when they got three 6 again calls in a row, all on the last tackle.

This has been happening for a while but especially since Robbo has been coach. I think it was either Hassler or Stuart that had a meeting with the refs boss one time a few years ago to 'talk' about how their teams discipline can improve...or more like to have a personal whinge, but I think things improved for them. I wonder if Robbo has had some 1 on 1 with a refs boss before or maybe he doesn't care or probably knows that we push the issue just that little bit extra that warrants us as being one of the worst behaved team in the comp. It's ridiculous that after all of these years, we are still this bad.

You should also watch Roosters v Broncos 2010 where we had a comfortable lead only for the Broncos to be reffed back into the game. To the amazement of Warren Smith and other commentators Israel Folau was awarded a try to put the Broncos in front. Unfortunately Toddy Carney turned the tide and set up a winning try for the very ill disciplined Roosters.

Was that on a Monday night?

I'm having some serious flashbacks now...
