The forwards were hard to judge because of how lethal the backs were but I thought Yeo was real good. Like them or hate them but my God Penrith are going to be hard to stop this year they have the best team in the NRL. If Rads was right to go he would get in the NSW side before Murray & Crighton in for Sims. What a side.
The bookends of Haas and Saifiti were fantastic as well.

      Apologies... I probably am.

Sorry, I'm happy about the result but will be honest, I struggled to connect with either team tonight. It was a pretty boring, lopsided performance. Call me whatever, but QLD didn't field an Origin-grade team. I wanted a contest and won't get all cocky about beating a bunch of dudes I've never heard of.

I've applauded 'Trell (a Souffs defector) and Trbo because I thought there was some impressive work from the centres. It was hard to see anything else though, as there was no grind/competition. Not meaning to be a d!ck but it wasn't a great game of footy for me to watch. Always nice to get a win, but it was always a mismatch. I'm not gonna go around cheering about it.

There was 1 Rooster out there tonight and the best news outta the whole game was that he didn't get injured or suspended.

Never said he's not NRL grade... ever. Being NRL grade is inherently a high standard... he's elite (like anybody in the NRL). However, he's nothing more than that. I don't think he's Origin-grade. The lopsided score backs up my opinion about a lot of the guys who were out there tonight IMO. Sorry if you disagree and think that Harry Grant had a dominant performance...
When did I say Grant had a dominant performance?

Latrell was pretty good. Luai was pretty good too. Tommy was real good. Sams better than Harry.

This series has a good chance of being a NSW whitewash. QLD just had nothing to compare and were outplayed all over the park. Had they not had a majority of 6 agains the score could have been 70.

I don't think he was 'very good' tonight or ever. Completely out of his league tonight.
He is a very good player, OVERALL...do you make up your mind about a player on one bad game by the whole team? Did Tedesco become a crap player when we were thrashed by Souths last year?? I think you've had too much, so move on.

Cleary and Luai are just on another level. In complete control all game. Hard to see the Riff not getting the silverware this year if they stay fit. This origin experience for all their players involved will only make them better.

Ive given Latrell shyt since he left us but he showed tonight what we are missing out on. Just not at FB.

                Tommy turbo... nuff said.

I cant see much changing for game 2.

I bet that when Latrell scored his tries, you got of your bean bag and got on one knee and do the bunny ears celebration while wearing your red & green members T.

I'm allowed to think a player's over-rated. Sorry that you disagree in this case. Don't let it bother you.

I never said you couldn't, but I gave you my opinion on what I think of him and that is that he is a very good player but taking it out of context to make it sound like I said that 'he had a dominant performance' I thought it was poor from you because one is a general statement and the other is specific to this match. He played shit tonight but it happens to every player now and then.

                            • I didn't get to watch the game live, but just finished the replay. Unbelievable and could not have predicted a score-line like that.

I thought all the Blues were fantastic, and as a young bloke who has been raised watching QLD drub us again and again, it's really good to see NSW up like that, and seeming to really enjoy each other as a team.

As phenomenal as Turbo was, I actually thought Mitchell was best on ground. It's almost a shame he's playing Fullback now, as if you made the perfect Centre in a laboratory, you'd probably come out with something quite like Latrell. I've really missed watching him play there.

Suncorp will be a different beast, and the QLD side will be pretty heavily adjusted. With that being said though, if the NSW 1-7 play anywhere near that level again, along with the forwards laying a solid platform, QLD won't get near them. There is a big, big gulf in the ability of the back 5, and what they are capable of creating on their own.

                              • The silence will be deafening around the coast today - just as every time they get their arses handed to them, which has not been that often lately, so I'm going to enjoy the lack of banter as that upsets the Qlders as much as anything. The next 2 games will be the test for NSW because Qld always come back harder and stronger.

Not sure why Jake T was there - warming the spot for Angus, I presume. That will take our forwards to another level and if Freddy can keep them all grounded I can't see why we don't win 3-zip.
