    The new Mr. Fix it!!!

    I agree.

However I feel we will lose him.
Teams will have no doubt taken notice of how good he plays at FB and now in the 6 and he will be offered 1 & 6 money elsewhere.

Teams like Brisbane, Warriors etc would love a player like Manu on their books to fill either of those positions.

People keep saying this, I don't buy it.

If we want him we'll find a way to keep him I reckon. And we definitely want him. Eventually he will be our regular 5/8 partnering Sam Walker so he can get paid as a 5/8. Sualli takes his place as centre.

Don’t assume money is his prime motive. Plenty of players have stayed where they are for less.

Surely long term half partnership with Walker, Keary susceptible to future head knocks and getting older. I like that Manu is a big body in defense at 6 and sometimes gets caught out when isolated in the centers . Will just depend on salary cap management and Roosters are the best

Manu comes from a humble background and is not persuaded by greed. He will stay where he is happy and making a comfortable living. Going elsewhere adds pressure that some people don’t want to have to go through. No need to panic about losing Joey.

IMO ~500-600k is pretty good for a centre. If you take any more than you're a club's marquee signing and you'll be expected to rip teams apart single handedly.

Manu's a smart man. As soon as 'Trell started shopping around, he grabbed a sweet deal for himself and he's playing his way into his salary quite comfortably.

Maybe he'll try his hand at some big $$$ later on. Right now he's found a sweet spot though.

He certainly had a blinder last night. Well done Joey.

Fair point, but is he willing to wait around to "Eventually" get 5/8 money?

                    I hope so.

If we learnt one thing from last night and the Newcastle game, it’s that Joey must play in a position where he gets a lot of ball. He is a wasted in the centres. A great problem for Robbo. Surely this sees the end of Lam in the halves this season.

Joey’s step outside his marker then straighten to suck in Wighton, flick to Sitili was delightful.

Manu hasn't got a long kicking game...yet. It will be interesting to see what Robbo does.

IMO Hutch will slot back into 5/8th, and Suaalii will replace Iku.

I for one had my reservations about Joey at 5/8. I am now a convert. Joey has in the past said he would like to play fullback to be more involved. Now after last night’s game he can add a position in the halves to his ambitions. I don’t think money is his main motivation. I do think a new challenge is. I feel for this reason we may not be able to keep him long term unless we can offer him a place in the halves or fullback. Pretty tough considering we have Keary, Walker and Teddy.

If Manu can practice his kicking a bit in order to take some pressure off Walker I could see him in the halves for the rest of the year. He was very impressive yesterday.
