Joey really played well and on his day can be untra dangerous in attcak. I hated all the injures but loved how this patched up team of young and seniors have gone forward.

In some ways, whatever the end, I've enjoyed watching the Chooks and having so many new inexperienced players in the side that have all stood up. Man they've done us proud.

But the fckuen hyprocracy of this new haed shot thing, we lose rads for 5 but theoaf with his knees all over JWH's head just gets binned......should have been off. Whatever we are the Roosters, we just keep coming at you.

Now you know why they have a long tradition of sponsorship from Canberra Milk.

Thankyou, was just going to post this.

The swinging arm on Manu was direct, forceful contact - hello? NRL??

I suppose had Manu played dead for a minute he could have got him marched.

Unlike the dreadful milking faders. How many times did they get up rubbing their neck or chin looking for handouts? Had to be coach's orders, was so obvious.

And, I just do not understand any rhyme or reason to the policing of the speed of the play the ball. For most of the game our PTBs were a good second longer than theirs. I lost count of the number of completed tackles on our guys that were followed by faders players flopping into the tackle and then the slow peel one by one of the 3 tacklers. Pathetic. But we still touched them up.

Ricky's presser - gave his usual amount of credit to opponents who had just put near 50 on them - "we just can't seem to get any luck", and "their tries were all off kicks and soft". Man on the edge.

          • Anyone else have that sinking feeling when we were down 10-0 with Teddy and Liu left the field??

            Shame on me.

                • Liu has been cleared of any serious eye injury.

Nat Butcher has a moderate syndesmosis injury so he might be struggling to be right for the Titans game.

                  • For those interested, we kicked the conversion this weekend with the Bears strong winners v Canberra today 34-12.

Best win of their season with so many outs. My best were Volkman and Ben Thomas. Other notables were big Tapuha, Brad Abbey and 3 try hero Tom Carr. The V man could attract interest from other clubs. Good goalkicking today too.

Robbo and some of the boys out there. Only spoke with JWH, one of the froendliest guys you would meet.

                      Thanks for the update JFC!

I’ve always been a fan of Ben Thomas, not sure why it’s taken him so long to make the next step up!

As for Volkman, can’t wait to see him keep developing in our system..Gun player!

No worries. I only found out later the game was live streamed.

Some nice tries incl a traditional backline sweep from the Bears that was pretty to watch. Will try and source highlights and link.

                        • Did Ryan James get fined or suspended for what he did to JWH? Could see anything as all the articles seemed to be how Origin players had been protected.

                            • Just finished watching the game as fox spat the dummy yesterday.

I agree with everyone's thoughts, ranging from the slow ptb they were allowed, 6 agains. The corruptive stench will follow us every week, just for the simple fact if the standards were applied evenly, we would have put 60 on the divers tonight.

Add those 6 top shelfers out injured, it'd be closer to 100.

NRL, you started it with the 6 again to be applied to us only. The strom are not officiated the same.

Anyway, hope Isaac is ok, that looked bad, teddys hip thing had me freaking out. All good. No hia acls all good.

Joey Manu is a god, even tho I believe the offload to ST was forward that play looked ****in sick.

I've been hard on Manu this year, robbo did say in the presser they want to unlock more from him at center and they will. Obviously tonight he played 1 and 6 that kick and chase try....

As well as radley out I was concerned we didn't have Angus either. But then I forget about another champion in Nat Butcher who just steps up. Strong performance.

Baker yea, love watching him launch into them. He's green but a gooden. Good to see Egan finally, hopefully more soon.

I'll finish with sualli, it's a special occasion to watch the young fellas bag 1st tries, there'll be plenty for him in the next 15 YEARS uncle.......

Watching joseph move reminds me of another bloke who played for us recently. They called him a Ferrari too, I think we've found another.

                              GO EASTS

The Volkster should be one of the priorities to re-sign.

Vuate Karawalevu from the Silktails scored 3 tries in the 26-24 win over the Sharks in Jersey Flegg

How did Penioni Tagituimua also from the Silk Tails go in NSW Cup ?

Central Coast Roosters also won 24-10 against the previously unbeaten Cronulla Sutherland Sharks in the Harvey Normans Women's premiership to remain unbeaten - They take on another unbeaten side this week in Mounties (Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs).

Easts Campbelltown Eagles went down gallantly against ladder leaders Hills Bulls 34-20 in the Sydney Shield- half time Eagles led 20-16 - only had 3 tackles in the opposition's 20 all second half and virtually starved of possession - 5 line drop outs conceded and 5 set restarts- set completions second half - Eagles 9/10 and Hills Bulls 25/27.
