Does it though? Cordner’s last head knock came from him trying to tackle a certain scumbag drizzle player in shyte of origin. Unfortunately for Boyd and the Roosters, he may have already used up his nine lives.

i think it does. sure, it doesn't guarantee that he'll never get another head knock but it would make it a little less likely

If you look at most of the times Boyd and Friendy were concussed it was a result of a a head clash, putting their heads in the wrong place when tackling, back slammed into the ground and even a face plant when scoring a try. I can't recall a direct high tackle. Teddy has copped more high tackles than both.

So that wasn't him on Fox last night saying 'I agree with what happened on the weekend'....Sure looked a lot like him!

None of Cordners' concussions last year were from high tackles. They were either head slams in disguise (which NRL continue to turn a blind eye), or Cordner tackling the opponents hip. The new rules will force more defenders to tackle low and risk injuring themselves.

Robbo on NRL 360 said the game has changed and it is no longer as safe as it used to be to tackle low because attackers have learnt to twist their body before impact.

He actually agreed with what they are trying to do but there were instances on the weekend that did not deserve sin binning. eg. the tackle of Teddy.
So what he was saying that we need to maybe grade each tackle and a Grade 1 should just be a penalty and let the MRC decide whether a suspension is warranted. Grades 2 and 3 should be sin bin or send off.
Half the sin bins were probably over the top. The send offs were fair imo.

I dont understand why the game has to be so fast?
The whole tackling technique changed because of the game being played fast. In all the time I have watched the game & watched ripper of games it was because the game was close & sometimes a defensive slog, Roosters 4-0 over Manly one of the best games you will ever see, I dont mind a few stoppages.

Did anyone else notice Cory Horsbugh on the ground grabbing his chest, sternum area & being assisted by the field for a HIA?
Like Kent says on 360 the coaches of all the clubs manipulate every rule that the NRL brings in.

Exactly my point. Sin bin only for contact to the head and send off for deliberate and forceful high contact. The ref to make the call, not the bunker and bins not on report only those sent off.

Its a contact sport and accidents are going to happen and shouldnt have a game or even the entire comp ruined because of it.
