That's a quote from Brian last night, Bwaith's going to be the 6 and honestly with the depth in the backrow that's where he has to play.
Did someone take photos of Brian Smith while Mrs Carney was around.

Why doesn't Smith make like Mayor Quimby

Mayor Quimby: All right, I'm in charge here.
Chief Wiggum: Oh, run along, Quimby. I think they're dedicating a phone booth somewhere.
Mayor Quimby: Watch it, you talking tub of donut batter.
Chief Wiggum: Hey, I got pictures of you, Quimby.
Mayor Quimby: You don't scare me, that could be anyone's ass. Now beat it! I'm calling the shots.
Chief Wiggum: I think that sash is cutting off the air to your brain! The town charter says, in an emergency I run the show!
Mayor Quimby: Well, we'll just see about that! Let's go to Town Hall!
    Chief Wiggum: Fine!
    [then]
Chief Wiggum: Should we take one car, or should I follow you?

I think people aren't recognising the fact that Anasta was not playing in the backrow the last two games. Mortimer got to play behind a full forward pack willing to work. Anasta would be behind Tom Symonds as a backrower alone (captaincy aside) in my opinion and we would lose more with him at 11 than we would gain with Mortimer at 6. Anyway, I don't believe Mortimer has been that good that he should start at 6. He might have a bench spot though. I really do not want Braith anywhere near the forward pack.

It's a long season. Anything can happen. Injuries, suspensions and rep footy.

Bwaiff ain't my favorite player, but he has become a very good leader and when used correctly has shown he can contribute a lot to the team.

I'm glad we have some depth now, these trials have shown that at least. For too long we have relied on one player to win us games, Toad and Freddo oh and DaFunchy.

Coach Smiffy is playing to his strengths again, having a large squad of blokes who can play various roles within his structure.

It's not about numbers or positions these days. It's about roles. And IMO that's what Smiffs always been good at, building a team.

        The FlogPen .

        You know it makes sense.

            Yeah true.

And the anti-Braith sentiment is pretty weird stuff from our own fans.

He is still the classiest player in our squad....you need a bit of that.

We need proper forwards in the pack, not Anasta.
Anasta has been tried in the pack before, it didn't work out.

We need FPN in the pack to start the game, not Anasta.
We need to start the games with the biggest and best forwards we can.

                Justin Carney is a centre.
You'd think the coaches would've seen that by now.

He must be kept, and played in his correct position.

Whether we like it or not, it looks as tho Braith is at 6 this year, barring injuries etc.
That appears to be what Smith was saying last night.
                  Better than in the forwards.

                    And on Mort.
The press have mainly given him the thumbs up for last night, but others not.
Anyone got any vid of the game?

Where did Bwaiff play for the majority of 2010???

Spot on! what sort of retard would use him on the wing? MORTS sounds like he's finding his mojo... good stuff!

He played in the forward pack. But the 2010 team had a bloke named Todd Carney making everyone look good!

Much as I despise you, that is correct.

Totally agree. Justin Carney is an adequate centre but struggles big time on the wing. Morts seems like he is on a mission. Can only benefit our team. A lot of depth across the park at the moment.
