I have a question to those who are crying fowl over the supposed circus SBW will bring with him to the club.

Where have the off-field dramas, baggage-ridden scandals and nightclub toilet liasons been in the Super 15/for the All Blacks?

The only off-field mountain-out-of-a-molehill speculation I can think of is his contractual saga, which for the most part has been driven by media hearsay and idiots of the Rothfield/Weidler class.

If SBW has so much baggage, why has Rugby (the Crusaders, the Chiefs and the All Blacks) been able to suppress it?

I don't think the problem is with SBW, the problem is whether his entourage gets into the heads of our many young stars.

I understand people's apprehensions but IMO this so called "baggage" is non-existant. You make a good point regarding his time in Rugby. As you point out he has had no issue in Rugby so why would he be likely to start now. I am very excited about SBW becoming a Rooster. It would be sad to lose JWH whom I am also a big fan of but that may not happen. My only regret with SBW is that he is not coming for 2012.

i was once affraid of how many ppl we would sacrifice for $bw. but the reality may be the additional arlc money will be there for him and i really do think the likes of jwh , taka and others soon to be off contract kiwi players may stay at their current value so they can play along side of $bw.
$bw will be playing back in the black and white strip against australia. what better way to form a side than to grab the player group from one team as the kiwi rep side. arona, pez,taka, $bw, jwh,skids,maloney , mose fpn. $bw may be the key to our success in 2013 but the 2012 GF is first. If we win that ,up goes the value of all our players, over the cap we go for 2013. so give minni half pay and keep him for the 2013 year and pay him for his off the field services the following year. I like braith but i would rather him decide to go instead of being pushed. im sure we can keep him under the cap without the sacrafice of future stars and present stars. by bye justin carney.
