  • Whispers that Walker is out this week

Just hearing some stuff saying Walker is out this week, not surprised by it as a rest is necessary. Was listed as available for selection on roosters website recovery update.

Guess we will see at 4pm today whether it's true or not, but if it is I wouldn't be surprised

Worst case: Lam to #7 and Manu #6. Adam Keighran could go to #6 but then we will be without a utility player/option.

Ikuvalu to Centre and Suaalii to debut on the right wing.

I'm not sure how much longer Billy Smith will be out for ... I did see some pics of him and Lam running around on Instagram about a week or two ago,

Well I'll be at Suncorp wanting to see him play...plus many of his friends & family in SEQ. Just inject it, lol!

If that doesn't happen, well I hope that at least I can witness Joseph Suaalii's NRL debut.

With no Walker(that's if the rumours are correct) and TKO not playing the 80 mins, Keighran might be the go to kicking therefore he may be partnering Lam for the 80 mins. It seems like every team has a better option for kickers than us.

Do players who get put in a moon boot after a game usually play the following week?

I vaguely recall earlier in the season Lindsay Collins was in a moon boot early in the week but he played the following round..

The often put them in the boot moon just to be safe, but you would prefer that he walked out of the ground under his own steam and without the boot

there's a strong case to play suaalii this week. probable he was our 18th man for the second week running only cos if he'd played for norths he wouldn't be in the bubble and couldn't play firsts this week. no bubble he plays for norths rather than having 2 weeks of no footy. if he's not in the 17 this week that will mean 3 weeks of no footy and i'm not sure we want that for a hot prospect.

speaking of the bubble, unlike us (with suaalii and lam) parra threw the dice and let their fringe players play reserves and now crying poor after they had 2 guys suspended and might be caught short

He's our moonwalker, better than Neil Armstrong and Michael Jackson.

Parra took a gamble and they lost. We withdrew players from the Bears team so that they could go into the bubble. Consequently the Bears got thrashed by the Eels who fielded a much stronger team.
Parra made their choice and should not get an exemption because two of their players are suspended due to foul play.
We took the safer option but it cost the Bears dearly.
Parra should be made to live by their choice.

Good thing I think , was obviously busted last week . If Rads is playing then we are a chance but if no I think blood a rookie or two and roll the dice. We may well surprise some

At halftime last week he had a physio working on his shoulder, and he was struggling to lift his arm up. Might be good if he does get a break to freshen up.

Keary was in a moon boot one week before the 2019 GF.
