mini over anasta for the c??

ok I kno he's had a bad run with injuries in past few years but got thru last season with no severe or long term injuries..
does anybody else think mini wud make a good captain if fit to do so?? considering his experience, future legend of not only the roosters but rugby league IMO. maybe being his last year with us.....
encouraging all chook fans to vent and express who they feel shud rightfully captain the tri-colours.

Anasta has already stated that he is happy to take a back seat and let Pearce run the show, so he can just concentrate and play his game!

y not? I think he has a right jus like ricko and fitzy did..
it makes me sad sometimes to see the minority of rooster fans that quickly forget about the veterans. ones that has put the roosters up ther.. contributed a big part to our 'decade of excellence'

Being a veteran of a club should not automatically equal captain. I think Anasta is a good leader and Mini has captained as a fill-in in the past and I don't think it suited him at all. Mini won't be around for much longer and it would be a backwards move to appoint him captain. Even if Anasta is injured I think the potential future captain should get the gig (who it is I have no clue, but not Minichiello).

I hate nothing more than senior well paid player being happy to take a back seat. Personally I would prefer he took a seat in row 3.

As much as I love Mini, no.
Leave as is.
Pearce is prolly the next in line, if all goes well.
And I have always thought that your captain should really come from around the "hub".

There are always exceptions, but let face it, Slater is a freak & plays all over the field (very well) & has the gift of being there to communicate at the right times.
