I had the flu two weeks ago and was taken off work until I did the Covid test, took 24 hours for the result, and if you’re wondering , it was negative.

My wife had the flu about a month ago . She works for health and had to have a test. I work weekends casual so no work no pay. Rang the hotline to see if we were able to fast track results only to be told that only my wife had to isolate till results come though and I could go about my normal routine . Go figure .oh and yes negative result

Teacher at my kids school got covid last year. My kids were close contacts so had to stay at home as did my wife for 2 weeks but NSW Health said I could go to work.

I've advocated hand sanitising after being on public transport for years. I kept wearing a mask even before this latest 'outbreak'. Regarding the Roosters run of luck, someone must have killed a Chinaman with a Ford from Uncle Nick's dealer.

redwhiteblue Rooster1908 Thanks for the good wishes guys. Honestly, it is pretty good here. I would imagine it is comparable to being in NSW or Queensland. My biggest worry is being forced into quarantine for 21 days. Our dog would be forced into a government kennel for the period. Not everyone would understand it but for us that would be prettty devastating. I love fresh air, good food and cannabis and would not enjoy losing access to that either. Compared to those in India though we have little to worry about.

              What? Why?

No thanks needed Larry. We are all a family on here and it's good we can keep in touch with one another on here and talk about stuff to take our minds off our troubles. I do understand about your dog..it's now been 2 weeks since my neighbour's little dog passed away. I've been annoyed that I've been unable to go walking for nearly 2 weeks now due to my cold but that is nothing compared to what others are going through. My uncle up at Tweed Heads had a small stroke last week after coming home from church and he said he's not going back there for a while.....I'm so grateful he came through it and we can talk and laugh on the phone, mostly at the Rabbitohs...
