  • We are officially rooted now

But I look forward to the team pushing on every week without the pressure and to see Baby Goat, Lil
    Joseph and Bakers Dozen.

Probably still top 8, but perhaps not there right at the pointy end.

I absolutely gutted at the moment. This has made beating the Eels next week much harder.

At least it's all happening in the one year. Hopefully get the bad voodoo out of our system for next year

Well I know it's tragic for Big Lindsay and B Moz, but now Suaali and Baker will have to step up , it's looking bloody hard from here, but it aint over just yet. Cords to come back, and Teddy plus Perenaira, Keighran and Lam, Fafita.... surely the other sides will get injuries as well.

I always said we have had too many injuries for this year but the boys will do the red, white and blue proud. When Keary went down acl everyone was doom and gloom. Enter Walker 5 try assists tonight. We lose Morris, Suuali will be there and we will survive and thrive.

Well, I mean it's been two seasons now. Two seasons decimated by injuries.

It just shows what a remarkable achievement it was to go B2B.

The Rads/Verrills ACLs, the Keary one, and now tonight. Even going back to JWH in 2015. Robbo could won have 5 or 6 comps with more luck.

Some of the most tragic nights as a Roosters fan have been injury related. Such a hollow feeling.

Time for cool heads IMO. We're not farked. We just won 38-4 and scored with 11 people on the field.

I don't wanna dismiss the possibility (probability?) of two more ACLs, but IMO we just need to stay calm and wait. We're not rooted... we're in pole position to play finals footy in 2021.

                Positives:
                - Walker's debut has been a success. Absolute freak and TBH I think Cronk's not BS'ing when he says the kid can already do stuff that he can't. He's next level stuff and will be fast-tracked to Origin.
                - Teddy's back next week.
                - Suaalii's in the mix if Morris is out.
                - Verrills & Rads are back and add a lot to our attack. Our attack's already better than 2020.
                - O'Brien says it best... we look excited about our footy and they didn't. 'Whether it's a confidence thing or something'. His feel at the ground is that we have the right attitude.

PS - how's Billy Smith tracking? He'll be back in a month or so. Cords too.

Your optimism is well received ism22, it’s just so demoralising watching our team be ripped apart by this ridiculous injury toll Jake deserved better so did Brett it’s ****ing cruel and incredibly hard to watch, these men bleed for this team week in week out and we as fans are so lucky to be a part of this it feels like a family member has been hurt and it the last 5 mins it’s like a massive **** you honestly anyways. I love this club and we’re not out of this by any stretch of the word write us off at your own peril.

                  Next Man Up!!!

Since sam Walker started he has changed the whole demeanour of the team, he has added the spark, the confidence, the enthusiasm. It aint over, no way.

If we win the comp from here it will be the greatest achievement in the history of Australian sport.

After Kez went down and Friend retired I was just happy to enjoy the ride - no expectations. But we haven't even been afforded that much given the demoralising nature of these severe injuries.

Being a Roosters fan is a source of immense pride. This club has given us so much joy recently - it's family.

And I know for a fact that the he players, coaches and club as a whole will keep putting their bodies and soul on the line every week so the least we can do is try and remain positive and never give up on them.

For tonight however I'm just going to crack open the scotch and have a good sook.

They said we would never win the comp B2B. While we still some superstars capable of winning games, on the field, we can still do it with the superstars yet to play.

6 ACLs in 18 months! Which other club has had such a record? But as Robbo says ‘we’re the Roosters’. The team will fight on.
