  • Roosters on their way to the Manning

For anyone that lives in the area...

SYDNEY Roosters stars Anthony Cherrington, Daniel Mortimer, Isaac Liu and Adam Henry will be in the area next week as part of the NRL'S One Community program.

On Monday they will visit Old Bar School (1pm), Mitchells Island (2pm) before assisting in a come and try afternoon at Old Bar to be run by the Old Bar Pirates junior club. They'll head to Wingham on Tuesday, first to Wingham Brush and Wingham Public (9am), then to St Joseph's Wingham and Taree Christian Community School at 11.30am and Tinonee at 1.30pm. Wingham Tigers will conduct a come and try day at 4pm.

Group Three ARL development officer Kylie Hilder will co-ordinate the visit.

Cherrington's season was over virtually before it started last year when he injured his knee in a trial game and underwent reconstruction surgery. A second rower, he had been tipped as a player with a representative future.

Mortimer joined the Roosters this year in a bid the resurrect his career. The playmaker played a leading role in Parramatta's surge to the 2009 grand final but he lost his first grade spot last year.

Liu and Henry are two of the club's most promising younger players who will press for first grade selection this year.

Old Bar's Boyd Cordner is also a member of the Roosters' roster however, he was unable to make the trip as he is undergoing treatment for an injury.

I'm sorry but I'll unfortunately be far from the Manning crowd.

Big kudos to whomsoever gets that reference.

Our hardy young forwards, or a half-time speech written in a country footy-shed by supercoach Gray?

That's why you were the greatest coach to ever put on a coat, Jack. Kudos to you sir, kudos to you.

I'm not near Manning nor Old Bar but I can usually find the Manning Bar blindfolded.
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
              Easts to win

Seems my response sailed over your head like an Anasta kick-off.

I would suggest a glance at where Mr. Hardy obtained the inspiration for his title.

But as an English literature tragic, I do thank you for bringing a spot of culture to the forum!

I apologize for missing the connection. I am a fox not a badger when it comes to English literature.

I do know, apparently according to an expert on it, that Heathcliffe (from Wuthering Heights) was a misanthrope and Mr Darcy (from Pride and Prejudice) had Aspergers.
