Cooper would be a freak in league. Just like he is a freak in union. People judging him on a handful of poor games in the world cup have absolutely no idea. He was forced by boneheaded coaches to play a defensive game that he is totally unsuited to. He'll crush it in league. Would be a much better buy than SBW.
Finally someone who understands Rugby League. Truth is most people on here who are bagging him and calling him crap probably havent watched him in action in the Super Rugby comp. Sure he had a bad WC, sure he may need to work on his defence, but there is no denying the guy has natural talent.
He is a lightweight with crap defense and decision making in crucial games. I want a guy who can actually come to the club and play fullback from week 1.
I think this is key. I rate Cooper highly, and would welcome him to the club, but it would take a while to find his feet. I wouldn't want to be paying bucket-loads for him whilst he does that. If we were going to spend big on a fullback I would rather chase an established player.
As for in the halves... whilst his defense is certainly suspect, surrounded by the right players he would still excel.
I have a sneaking suspicion it may have been a set up..
That set-up nonsense is such a turn off in boxing. Reminds me of when Hulk Hogan was in town a while ago and they staged some crap and Hulk was sent to hospital. Maybe it sells tickets but most find it sad.

Reminds me years ago my uncle took his son to the wrestling and they got ringside seats. The son was disgusted when he overheard one the wrestlers whisper into his opponents ear "your turn, throw me in the corner". LOL
Needless to say they lost a young fan.

At least with wrestling everyone (except for the kids) knows it is a set up. These boxing promoters are shameless.
