  • NRL Judiciary Round 4 - Radley charged

Grade One Dangerous Contact (Other) on Warriors player Jazz Tevaga- Monetary fine only

I would be challenging that. Radley didn't drop into the back of his knees like we were seeing in a lot of tackles last year. His ankle just just unfortunately trapped.

The monetary fine suggests the judicary didn't really know what to do with it either.

There was absolutely nothing in that. It was just unlucky

I saw Rads yesterday tackle a Warriors player up around the chest with another Rooster player & then as they were all falling Rads went down with his elbow cocked & landed it on the Warriors players head. I thought it was great but it was foul play.

That Radley tackle fine is like some crooked cop just trying to make his quotas...but what about that Bunty Afoa being charged for a shoulder charge on young Walker? What an ahole for trying that on a small kid! I think part of his punishment should be to shave that freaking hair off.

I was wondering if there has been any other footy players with either Christian/First names of Bunty or Jazz play. maybe Hayze as well - maybe Hayze's Parents were fans of that 80s UK duo of Haysi Fantayzee just a different spelling for his Christian /First name.

The Sydney Roosters have elected to enter a plea of not guilty in relation to the Grade One Dangerous Contact (Other) charge on Victor Radley.

So they should because it is a pathetic charge in my book.

Anybody notice the crusher by Tohu Harris on Walker after he was hit with the high shot?? I thought that's what the ref actually blew the whistle for in the first place but naaah, that one has slipped through to the keeper.

The only Jazz I can remember was Will Smith's friend from the show Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

My maternal antecedents migrated to NZ in the 1850s and I'm proud of my NZ connection - a very smart country (Scottish education system) but it does have form in the naming department. So much so that some years ago the names recording bureaucracy took on the job of vetting submissions regarding new borns. This occurred following a spate of "Hashtags", "Dot.Coms" and, finally, "Loula Does the Hula from Hawaii".
Seemingly, there is pushback and we can expect the trend to continue with more way outs like "Zin Zan", "Jazz" and "Bunty" (which has hitherto been an upper class pet name).
Of course we have the same kind of wing nuts here as well in the names competition. Mostly, I would imagine, the offspring of those who have FA knowledge of politics but love the funny fat bloke from Queensland or the dude in the big hat both of whom steal wages ironically.

Yeah kind of a catch with monetary fines ay?

It's tempting to just pay up so that you can play next week. However, there's probably some sorta carry-over points that could come back to bite later on.

no, if you get more than 3 then it goes to the points system.
