Reminds me of a young DCE. I'm quite happy with his service. Really positive and on the ball IMO.

Walker stepped up big time and got better as he played himself into the game. Not how I wanna see us play every week but we had the right attitude and got the job done.
I'm a fan, I just think I've seen better footy from him last year. He'll be fine, if he can tidy up his service.

Walker looks very promising indeed. Looks to play with a lot of time, which is pretty rare for someone so young. Hope his shoulder is ok.

My Grandmother is better than Flannagan.

On Walker, I was impressed. I refuse to carry one about him being the messiah but he was pretty good. Handled some tough stuff which impressed me.
Personally I think he took several wrong options, that were not costly. Simple things like going out the back instead of hitting the lead runner. He also needs to get rid of the stupid harbour bridge cut out pass.

I think he could very well end up being exceptional

Not sure about his shoulder?? He was cramping up severely with about 10 mins to go. Was really struggling in back play close to us. Welcome to first grade son.

Wow how refreshing it is to have a young energiser bunny like Walker out there as opposed to Flanagan..

Also seems very popular with his experienced team mates, which i didn’t get the same feeling with Flanno..

No comment from King Gonzo yet.
Do you think Robbo can put his sword away or do you still have hope that choosing Walker over Flanno was a dumb decision?

                Yep I think popularity's important.

Easts are professional so cannot and will not reveal what happened with Flanno and Hastings in the change-rooms (or at social events). However, Walker's the exact opposite thus far. Robbo said he got up and talked about his vision after the game last week and everybody listened. Go figure!

I reckon Walker just needs to do his job for us to be a force. Our forwards and backs are good enough that we don't need a too-tier half creating amazing opportunities all over the park. If Collins, SST, JWH, Crichton, Sitili, Radley can dominate then we just need halves who won't do stupid shyte. He's primed for something better but IMO this year he just needs to play it cool.

Jeez, this kid looks the goods. Such maturity.

Continues a long line of champion Queenslanders to grace the Roosters number 7 --- Laurie Spina, Adrian Lam, Sam Obst and Cooper Cronk ...

Walker seems to have a lot of time - like all the champions. Very exciting.

Flanagan? His side is going to go a month without a single point scored. Robbo rarely gets it wrong.

Interesting comments from Robbo in the presser.
Walker didn't overplay his hand. Eased himself into first grade and just did enough for what the team needed. He will bring more each week. The guy sounds like he has so much maturity for just a kid.
I was actually impressed with his defence.

I was at the game to especially see Walker debut against giants. A real baptism of fire against the incredibly huge Kiwis. A one on one head on tackle David vs Goliath scenario was exciting to see. Walker has skill but also guts and so too our Pygmy hooker. Seeing the warriors up close after the game just highlighted their size difference.

no errors was also pretty impressive. no doubt that's partly cos he didn't want to overplay his hand, but he did try a few things - there was one memorable left to right cut out pass that found it's spot.
also he didn't panic - there was one time when we had a half break and he took a heavy hit rather than offloading the ball when nothing was on.
