Those long spirals he throws in reserve grade may have “intercept” written all over them in first grade.

he can cop it like every other player before him

I was under the impression that his running game is his strong point.

            Interesting times....
I'd put Manu at 6 , he is wasted at Centre. I know it weakens one spot , but he will be a sensation at 6.
Hutch and Manu , then bring on Walker from the bench.

His strong point Farian IMO is his innate vision and ability to get his forwards marching up field to set up play. He takes advantage of quick play the balls or 2nd phase play by assessing what's doing and will either put a player through a gap or throw a beautiful floating pass to his the outside backs.

My summation of young Sam - he's a mixture of Alfie and DCE.

IN THE WORDS OF BIG KEV............I'M EXCITED

The plan was to slowly ease him into the role. Instead he is going to have the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Let's just accept now that he is a work in progress and enjoy whatever glimpses we get of his talent.
                  100% agree.
I'll be very excited if he's still standing at the end of the game...given the way other teams are allowed to:
. Head high tackle our players.
. Face massage them on the ground and on the way down in tackles.
. Attack their heads with forearm jolts in tackles and on the way to the turf.
. Smash our kickers after the ball has left the boot...often high and with excessive force.
. Tackle our kickers in the air.
. Forearms across faces and throats of our players.
                  while they're on the ground.
                  ETC
                  Mostly with impunity.

If Sam Walker is subjected to any of this our players should "riot" on the field, legally of course.

Walker is also a goal kicker I think so that’s a bonus when he’s in the side

I fully intend to give Sam Walker the benefit of the doubt. No pressure on him from me at least.

Reed Mahoney is 22, 5/8 and 86kg and in the middle. Of course different bodies and also levels of experience.

Not sure if Manu has the kicking or passing skills for a 6. I assume he doesn't have a kicking game as he never kicks. Yes I know he kicked for Josh Morris on Friday night.

I predict he will hold up the trophy for us three times in the next decade. I am looking forward to it.
