Sense? More like he's trying to be everyones friend hahaha... But I am amazed on how in the last 12-24 months, I have seen Kent, Buzz, CRAWLEY, and other SMH journos all come out and say how good the Roosters, and the Storm, have their stuff together and because of it get all the seemingly best players, yet the usual envy other fans keep going on and on ad nauseam, with the sombrero, golf games and paper bags accusations...There's no more that can be said to those fans so I just don't bother, except have a laugh at their expense.

Yep there's definitely been a softening of opinion amongst some journos. Buzz used to be one of our biggest haters but these days he's more positve than negative towards the club. Same with Kent. I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Tallis (yeah not a journo!) or Rabs change their opinions though.

Ah no, our crew want the right to be political whenever an opportunity presents (or doesn't present) but are intolerant of dissenting opinions.
Lazza's News Ltd background explains a lot - ya never lose that smart arse Holt Street group think. For others, the need to conform to what they imagine is the majority opinion, that progressive is bad, seems stronger than any thoughts about their own economic self interests like not having wages ripped off, not being able to break out of casual employment etc.. etc...etc.
You idiot. Of course you assume I was a journalist. I worked for News Ltd while putting myself through university. The truth of the matter is: I was Kelly at the Tele. No bullshit. It was a great job as a student as the pay was good and I had a lot of time to study when it wasn't busy. When I first started there I was the only male in the office with about 50 plus females. They were mostly older ladies and mostly treated me really well. I would work and study during the week and then I would work Saturday and Sunday at the Tele as the weekend rates were good. I worked at the Australian for a while too.

Buzz made the transition a few years ago and started to argue the point against all the other journos. Good on him. Maybe the Sharks premiership removed the bitter jealousy.

Crawley is just angling for a future story on the Roosters, likely on one of our youngsters, Suaalii or Walker. Write a favourable piece about the club and then request an interview with one of the player.

Why would I assume that? Not on account of your writing that's for certain but what relevance has it anyway? To be there in any capacity would involve contamination with the group think. You must be one of the few of tertiary educated not to see Australian Conservatism for what it is instead you've kept up a Tele mentality. Most people who go to university have the wool finally lifted from their eyes because one is finally taught to think.

Before I worked at the Tele I worked for John Fairfax Publications. How does that fit your narrative troll boy? Right, left, educated, uneducated. Damn man you are a bit mad.

Dunno what qualities you assert for Fairfax. Never endorsed the ALP at election time, a rich establishment oligopoly that, for years, was sponsored by a snobby readership and by others only because it was better than the execrable alternative. Nowadays it's just another neo-con outfit headed by Peter Costello who presumably organises the LNP fund raisers that are held at channel 9.

all the papers are pretty crappy these days. for daily stuff i go to the abc website which doesn't cost you anything and the only paper i actually buy is the weekend oz. i've subscribed to the economist for years and it's excellent. i listen to it on an mp3 player when i'm walking.

Let me be honest. I know that as a Souffs supporter you don't have any idea what it means to work for a living. Now I know the government pays you every two weeks but lets not get too excited. You get paid but you don't have a job. You are not employed. Normal people tend to seek employment in return for wages/salary. I worked at both organisations for just that reason. Simple.
