Haha I also love the pun king! But yeah not sure - all other NSWRL grades have been postponed as I’m sure you know

Don't be surprised if we use an umbrella defence.

The only games to be played in the juniors in NSW are the semi finals of the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cups which will be played in Blacktown - not sure how they will be played in the expected avalanche of rain.

Central Coast Roosters play the Monaro Colts in both games- winners of both semi finals in both Cups play in the Grand final

Andrew Johns cup @ 12:20 pm and Laurie Daley cup @ 2:00pm

              Live on NSWRL Facebook

              https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2021/0...fect-cup-rd-2/

Other comps as you said - SG Ball/ Harold Matts/ Tarsha Gale / NSW Womens/ Ron Massey/Sydney Shield - all postponed

At this stage all NSW Knock on affect cup games are still being played as apart from the Wests Magpies vs North Sydney game which has been re-scheduled to be played after the Tigers vs Chooks NRL these are standalone games.

The Manly vs Souths game is on Sunday is subject to the ground conditions as Manly play Souths in the NRL on the Saturday- heavy rain expected

The forecast is improving. Only 60 - 120mm now.

Golden Slipper meeting called off ffs.
If they call the game off I assume Crichton won't be able to play against Souths.

Surely the game doesn’t get called off - it’s not cricket.

is there serious talk of cancelled games?

They won’t cancel the games - the grounds would have to be flooded

in another news the Keary’s welcomed their second son into their family yesterday - assume he will still play but if there is also injury doubt I wonder if Robbo gives him the week off since it’s round 2 and all of the above

Its been talked up all week.
I dont know if its the right time to debut him this weekend with the way the weather is. It will be alot more of a condensed game played mainly 1 out through the ruck so for Walker I think he would be useless in those conditions probably better to play a big body like Hutch.

I can't see Walker playing myself even on a dry track

If Keary is out I figure that Hutch would come into the side @ 5/8 with Egan Butcher Promoted from the reserves to the bench- Nat Butcher can play some Dummy Half when required.

                              or

If Keary is out Robbo could also put Manu @ 5/8 - B Morris to centre and Ikuvalu on the wing - Hutch would cover the halves and Dummy Half.

One would imagine with the inclement weather and ground conditions it will not be a fast game and players maybe able to play longer minutes in this weather than they would normally do despite the rule changes of speeding the game up.

Ball control and field position is the key - do you kick long and often in wet weather under the new rules . the 6 again's will be interesting and will the ref be a little lenient in this area due to the weather and ground conditions?.

Quite a bit of surface water on the ground as I went past it to have a look - been bucketing down - Ground staff will have a big job on their hands on Sunday morning to get the ground into a playable state.
